Britney Spears claims she has ‘brain damage’ as Kevin Federline memoir drama rages on

Britney Spears claimed she has “brain damage” as the drama from her ex Kevin Federline’s memoir, “You Thought You Knew,” continues to rage on.

“I had a traumatic experience as some of you know at the end of my book where for 4 months I no longer had my private door and illegally was forced to not use my feet or body to go anywhere,” the “Gimme More” singer wrote in a lengthy Instagram caption Sunday, referring to her 2023 memoir, “The Woman in Me.”

Spears, 43, says the confinement “hurt [her] body” and the “logic and mindfulness in my body as ONE was 100 percent murdered and destroyed.”

“I couldn’t dance or move for 5 months… anyways I know my post and dancing seemed silly but it made me remember how to fly,” she penned.

“I do feel like my wings were taken away and brain damage happened to me a long time ago 100 percent… I have of course moved on from that troubling time in my life and I’m blessed to be alive,” Spears continued.

The “Toxic” singer concluded her post by saying that although her lengthy post may “sound so silly,” she is bringing “substance to the table” amid all of the “garbage” that is being spread about her.

Alongside the caption, Spears posted a photo of herself with her back facing the camera as she rode a horse. In the snap, the Grammy winner sported a pair of white shorts, a black cowboy hat and a shirt that exposed most of her back.

The pop star’s post comes as her second ex-husband prepares to release a bombshell memoir that includes shocking claims about Spears.

In the book, Federline, 47, claimed his ex was watching their sons, Sean Preston, 20, and Jayden James, 19, sleep while holding a knife in her hand.

The former backup dancer also claimed Spears did cocaine while breastfeeding their kids, punching their eldest son, Sean, and wishing the children were dead.

Federline wrote that he believes the “Crossroads” actress is “racing toward” a tragic ending with her erratic behavior.

“From where I sit, the clock is ticking, and we’re getting close to the 11th hour. Something bad is going to happen if things don’t change, and my biggest fear is that our sons will be left holding the pieces,” he penned.

In response to the leaks from Federline’s forthcoming book, Spears denied his allegations and claimed her money-hungry ex is making a “profit off [her] pain.”

“If you really love someone then you don’t help them by humiliating them,” the hitmaker tweeted last week. “What scared me was how serious and angry he got, people have no idea, it is way worse than anyone could imagine.”

Spears claimed that the father of her two sons “hates” her and must have a “deep anger to literally say the things he is saying.”

Federline and Spears tied the knot in September 2004 and welcomed their sons, Sean Preston and Jayden James, in September 2005 and 2006, respectively.

The duo got divorced after three years of marriage and spent several years locked in a contentious custody battle that was further complicated by Spears’ controversial conservatorship.

In 2023, Federline relocated to Hawaii with his sons and his new wife, Victoria Prince.

Federline’s memoir, “You Thought You Knew,” will be released Tuesday.
