Jude McAtamney’s brutal misses left door open
The heroes and zeros of the Giants’ 33-32 loss to the Broncos on Sunday:
Hero
Bo Nix was 27-of-50 passing for 279 yards and two touchdowns and ran for 48 yards and two more scores, including the go-ahead touchdown on an 18-yard run. All four Broncos touchdown drives were in the fourth quarter.

Zero
Jude McAtamney — filling in for injured kicker Graham Gano — missed two PATs, including the one with 37 seconds left that opened the door for the Broncos to win (instead of tie) on a walk-off 39-yard field goal.

Unsung Hero
Courtland Sutton made a 22-yard catch in the final seconds to turn a would-be 61-yard field goal into a chip shot. He finished with six catches for 87 yards and a two-point conversion.
Key Stat
1,602 Consecutive games won by teams in the NFL when they had a lead of 18 or more points with six or fewer minutes remaining — until the Giants blew it on Sunday.
Quote of the Day
“There’s no way in hell we are supposed to lose that game … but we gave that to them.”
