The coaching carousel trend at the center of Liberty’s search

It has been more than two weeks since the Liberty fired coach Sandy Brondello, and the search for her replacement remains ongoing. 

The Liberty interviewed former Nets assistant Will Weaver, according to multiple sources. 

New York is also eying Joseph Blair, the head coach of the Rio Grande Valley Vipers, the Rockets’ G League team, The Athletic reported Friday. 

As previously reported, the Liberty also see assistant coach Sonia Raman as a favorable in-house option and have interviewed her. The Liberty also plan to schedule an interview with former WNBA point guard Kristi Toliver.
