What the Jets need to answer before finding QB of the future
There is a long way to go, but at the moment, the Jets are playing their way toward the No. 1 pick in the 2026 NFL Draft.
Even if they don’t end up in the top spot, it is clear the Jets will be drafting very, very early in April. That has led to a concern I have heard from Jets fans about allowing GM Darren Mougey and coach Aaron Glenn to make that selection. “Can they be trusted to make that pick?” is how I have heard it phrased.
The truth is there is no way to know. Drafting is hard, and there are very few teams that do it consistently well and very few GMs and coaches that you trust to get it right year after year.
So, I don’t think that is the right question for Jets fans to be asking.
