Kevin Federline warns Britney Spears’ ‘erratic behavior’ is worse than anyone knows

Kevin Federline claimed that his ex-wife Britney Spears’ “erratic behavior” is worse than what people see on the surface.

“I’m really worried,” the former backup dancer told “Entertainment Tonight” in an interview released on Tuesday.

“I’m absolutely — as a father — terrified that one day I might wake up and my sons are going to have to deal with the unimaginable,” he added, referring to his and the singer’s two kids: Sean Preston, 20, and Jayden James, 19.

“I kinda have to sound the alarm that I truly feel that somehow, someway, I just wish that their mom would get help,” Federline, who was married to Spears from 2004 to 2007, added.

The actor, 47, explained that he briefly shares his concerns about the “Toxic” songstress, 43, in his forthcoming memoir, “You Thought You Knew,” which will be released on Oct. 21.

“I’m not going to get into details, because I’m not going to just expose her personal life. But it’s 10x worse than anything I’ve said in my book,” he alleged.

Federline explained he has kept his “mouth shut” over the years “for the sake of his family,” and has even “tried to help his sons build a relationship with their mother.”

“I pray to God every day that she gets the help that she needs or makes up and realizes that you have two sons right there in front of you that are screaming for a life with you,” he said, explaining that he wants “Britney to be around for [their] children for a long time.”

“I realized that my sons don’t know the woman that I married,” Federline alleged.

A rep for Spears slammed Federline’s allegations, telling Page Six via a statement, “With news from Kevin’s book breaking, once again he and others are profiting off her and sadly it comes after child support has ended with Kevin.”

“All she cares about are her kids, Sean Preston and Jayden James and their well-being during this sensationalism. She detailed her journey in her memoir,” the spokesperson added.

Page Six confirmed in November 2024 that Spears was done paying bi-weekly child support payments of $10,000, or $20,000 per month, to Federline after 17 years.

Spears had previously paid her ex about $40,000 a month for child support until their eldest child’s 18th birthday in 2023.

According to the New York Times, Federline writes in his memoir that he feared the Grammy winner was “racing toward something irreversible,” writing, “the clock is ticking, and we’re getting close to the 11th hour. Something bad is going to happen if things don’t change.”

He also alleges that Spears would watch their son’s sleep “with a knife in her hand.”

The “Gimme More” songstress was previously in a 13-year conservatorship, which she was freed from in 2021.

She’s recently sparked concern over the state of her well-being, and insiders told Page Six last month that she’s refusing mental health assistance.
