Good Samaritan stabbed trying to stop thief from stealing woman’s phone steps from Columbus Circle: cops

A good Samaritan was stabbed for trying to stop a thief from stealing a woman’s cell phone just steps from Columbus Circle over the weekend, cops said.

The violent robber, seen wearing all black, grabbed the 35-year-old woman’s phone at West 58th Street and Ninth Avenue in Hell’s Kitchen around 12:50 a.m. Saturday, police said.

The do-gooder, 39, spotted the mugging and tried to pry the device away from the thief — to no avail, according to cops.
