Jack Ciattarelli jeers Mikie Sherrill’s plan to freeze electric bill hike with state of emergency

Jack Ciattarelli ripped into Rep. Mikie Sherrill’s plan to declare a state of emergency to bring down energy prices as a gimmicky and unworkable plan.

It’s been one of Dem Sherrill’s biggest talking points when talking about how she would improve affordability for residents of the Garden State.

“My opponent has put forth an illegitimate plan that isn’t feasible,” he said. “Even the governor, a member of her own party, has said that I don’t really think you can do that.”

“There are 77 incumbent Democratic legislators, 52 of which are on the ballot this year, and not one has endorsed her plan to get electricity rates down on day one.”
