Alyssa Farah Griffin Announces She’s Pregnant On ‘The View’: “I’m So Excited”
The View host Alyssa Farah Griffin broke some major news during Wednesday’s broadcast: She’s expecting her first child!
The co-hosts were looking back at some of their most “embarrassing” moments when Griffin pointed to a previous episode where Whoopi Goldberg randomly asked her if she was pregnant. Griffin denied it at the time and told Goldberg, “You can’t ask me that with my mother-in-law is here!”
But when the clip ended Griffin slyly asked Goldberg, “So, Whoopi. Do you want to ask me again?” as she rubbed her belly bump.
The View audience broke into cheers as Griffin shared a hug with all of her co-hosts. She also invited her husband, Justin Griffin, to stand and greet the crowd.
“Baby boy Griffin arrives in February,” Alyssa explained. “I’m so overjoyed and I’ve shared with all of you, I went through IVF. It was hard, it took us about a year. It took five rounds but he’s here, he’s coming. I’m so happy to have the most supportive husband in the world, Justin.”
Justin shared that he “couldn’t be happier” about the news.
Sunny Hostin praised Alyssa for not giving up on her fertility journey.
“You are going to give so many women who are going through infertility and IVF so much hope,” she told Alyssa.
“My advice to people is don’t give up hope if your’e going through infertility. I know it’s cost prohibitive for some, just try and go see your doctors,” Griffin said.
The View airs on weekdays at 11/10c on ABC.
