KFC brings back fan favorite flavor Original Honey BBQ
Sweet and savory finger-lickin’ chicken is making a comeback.
KFC is bringing back “one of the most requested menu demands of all time.”
Starting Oct. 6, the beloved Original Honey BBQ will be back at the chicken chain for fans to enjoy.

Original Honey BBQ quickly became a cult classic when it was first put on menus in the late 90s — and fans have been begging for its return, even making their own recipes.
KFC is answering their prayers, and making it bigger than before.
Rather than the sauce being limited to just the classic pieces, patrons can enjoy the Original Honey BBQ on the chicken sandwich and even chicken tenders.
“KFC’s Original Honey BBQ wasn’t just a menu offering, it became a cultural touchstone that fans have been craving and asking us to bring back for years,” Catherine Tan-Gillespie, President, KFC U.S., said in a statement.
“What better way to continue our KFC comeback than to bring back this legendary flavor and reintroduce it in a bigger and bolder way — on everything.”

In honor of the nostalgic comeback, the chain is also offering throwback pricing. The chicken sandwich is just $3.99, with a choice of classic or spicy.
KFC Rewards members can also snag deals on the app and website in time for Halloween. For the 13 days leading up to Oct. 31, members will be able to unlock special offers, including a free classic chicken sandwich with a $10 purchase, 50% off a 12-piece chicken-only bucket and more.
Fans on Instagram were ecstatic to learn about the return of the Original Honey BBQ.
“Original BBQ and wedges are back. My childhood is back,” one said.
“Thanks for listening to your customers lol,” another wrote.
“Thank you for this!!! OMG!! Why did I buy KFC yesterday? Ohh well I guess I have a reason to eat it again today!!!!” someone commented.
