Nicole Kidman steps out for first public appearance since Keith Urban divorce filing
Nicole Kidman made her first public appearance since filing for divorce from Keith Urban after nearly 20 years of marriage.
The Oscar winner, 58, stepped out to present the Award of Inspiration to “Yellowstone” creator Taylor Sheridan at an amfAR auction in Dallas, Texas, Saturday night.
The “Babygirl” actress looked chic in a black off-the-shoulder gown as she gave a heartfelt speech about Sheridan before awarding him with the honor.
“I think what Taylor recognizes, as we all do, is that we are all more alike than we are different, and that we’re better when we look out for each other,” she said, per People.
“That, of course, is why we’re here tonight. What better way to support, to elevate our common humanity, than to help fund bold and innovative research.”
Kidman had previously worked with Sheridan on the Paramount+ series “Special Ops: Lioness,” in which she played Kaitlyn Meade, a high-ranking CIA official.
The outing marked a notable moment for the “Eyes Wide Shut” actress, who has remained out of the spotlight as news of her ill-fated union came to light.
News broke that Kidman and the country hitmaker are separating after nearly 20 years of marriage last Monday, with insiders claiming that the exes have been living apart “since the beginning of summer.”
“Sometimes relationships just run their course,” a source told Page Six, adding that the “Eyes Wide Shut” actress did not want to split and tried saving their relationship.
Kidman was spotted taking a hike in Nashville, Tenn., with her sister, Antonia, just hours after filing to official end their marriage.
Urban, for his part, was seen returning to the stage at the Giant Center in Hershey, Pa., as part of his ongoing “High and Alive World Tour.”
What’s more, the “Somewhere In My Car” crooner seemingly scrapped a Kidman-inspired song and ditched his wedding ring in his first performance after the divorce news.
The pair tied the knot on June 25, 2006 after meeting at the G’Day USA gala in January 2005.
Their last joint public appearance took place just a few short months before news of their split, with the couple stepping out at the FIFA Club World Cup 2025, held at the Geodis Park stadium in Nashville, Tenn., on June 20.
