Vladimir Guerrero Jr. continues to torment Yankees with grand slam

Heroes and zeros for the Yankees’ 13-7 Game 2 loss to the Blue Jays in Toronto on Sunday:

Hero 

If Yankees fans did not know the name Trey Yesavage, they do now.

The rookie with the way-over-the-top delivery and 14 prior major league innings showed off a splitter that the Yankees swung over and a four-seamer that the Yankees swung under during 5 ¹/₃ dominant and hitless 11-strikeout innings. 

Zero 

Even an excellent Max Fried may not have been enough, but an imperfect Max Fried was not close to enough.

The Yankees ace was charged with seven runs in three-plus innings in which he was knocked around for eight hits and two walks. 

Unsung hero 

Through two postseason games against the Yankees, Vladimir Guerrero Jr. is 6-for-9 with six RBIs, four of those coming on a fourth-inning grand slam.
