Cruz Beckham’s Girlfriend Jackie Apostel Reacts to Age Gap Comment

Jackie Apostel is speaking out against critics of her age gap with boyfriend Cruz Beckham.

Victoria Beckham debuted her eponymous label’s Spring-Summer 2026 collection at Paris Fashion Week on Friday, Oct. 3, to an audience that included her husband, David Beckham, and three of their kids: Cruz, Romeo Beckham and Harper Beckham. To celebrate and acknowledge the show of support, the designer, 51, shared a photo of the family sitting at the show, along with Anna Wintour and Cruz’s songwriter girlfriend.

“I love you all so much… I couldn’t do it without you! Xx,” she wrote in the caption of the Oct. 3 Instagram post, which then garnered a comment about the nearly 10-year age gap between Cruz, 20, and Apostel, 29.

“Why is a 29 year old dating a 20 [year old],” an Instagram user commented on Victoria’s Fashion Week post, later clarifying that they were referring to the couple. The user also wrote, “That’s just weird.”

Apostel then responded to the user’s question, writing: “Because he’s kind, funny, smart, caring, driven, mature, talented, loyal, and also quite handsome 🥰.”

The songwriter also reposted Victoria’s post on her own Instagram Stories, along with a shot the former Spice Girls star shared of the couple (adorned with her signature “xx”). Apostel also shared a shot of herself and Cruz brushing their teeth in her own Paris Fashion Week post.

“And 24 hours of 🇫🇷🥖,” Apostel captioned the post, as Victoria commented, “So pretty!! Xxx.”

Earlier, Apostel dedicated an entire post to the designer’s Fashion Week show, and included a shot of herself and Cruz sharing a kiss.

“What an incredible show and in my favorite dress yet. @victoriabeckham 🧡,” she wrote in the caption. “Honoured to witness all of this come to life.”

Cruz — who has been teasing music of his own on social media — also shared some snaps from Paris Fashion Week on Instagram, including some couple shots with his songwriter girlfriend.

The youngest son of David, 50, and Victoria was first spotted with Apostel at Glastonbury Music Festival in June 2024, according to E! News. The following month, the couple was seen having a night out, and were later photographed attending Paris Fashion Week together that September.

In October 2024, Cruz made their relationship Instagram official by sharing a birthday tribute to the songwriter on Instagram Stories. Over a picture of his girlfriend, Cruz — who was 19 at the time — wrote, “I love you.”

The only member of the Beckham family that was absent from Victoria’s Paris Fashion Week showcase on Oct. 3 was David and Victoria’s eldest son, Brooklyn Peltz Beckham, along with his wife, Nicola Peltz Beckham.
