Taylor Swift is celebrating her fiancé, Travis Kelce.
Speaking on U.K. chat show The Graham Norton Show on Friday, October 3, to promote her new album The Life of a Showgirl, the multi-Grammy winner opened up about the moment Kelce, 35, proposed to her on August 26.
“He really crushed it in surprising me,” Swift, 35, told Norton about Kelce, who is referenced multiple times in her new album. “While we were talking on his podcast, he had a complete garden built out the back of his house to propose in.”
“He went all out – 10 out of 10,” she added in her first TV appearance since Kelce’s propsal, during which she wore a black and bejeweled mini dress which she teamed with her sparkling engagement ring.

When asked if she would reveal more about their wedding plans, Swift said simply, “You’ll know.”
“I want to do the album stuff first, and the wedding is what happens after in terms of planning. I think it will be fun to plan,” she added.
Telling more about The Life of a Showgirl, Swift revealed that she leaned on her song-writing skills to keep her artistically fuelled up during her lengthy Eras Tour — something she previously revealed on Kelce’s New Heights podcast.
“I was physically exhausted — sick and worn down — so to spark me up, I had the album as a secret passion project behind the scenes,” Swift told Norton. “It stopped me hitting a wall.”
She also revealed that The Life of a Showgirl is less introspective than some of her previous albums. The record is Swift’s 12th album and was released at midnight on Friday, Oct. 3.
“In recent years, I have a different perspective and like storytelling at a little bit of a distance, so it isn’t like doing a complete autopsy of myself,” she told Norton.

“I think my wheelhouse is bigger now,” Swift added about her development as an artist. “I feel I can do anything now while running in heels. I am confident to write higher choruses, jump an octave, and do falsetto stuff. I have more confidence after the tour.”
Swift also revealed that her dad, Scott, is also a big fan of one song in particular — and that he shares this love with Kelce.
“My dad is very excited about ‘Opalite,’ and it is Travis’s favorite,” she said about the third song on The Life of a Showgirl.
“Growing opals in a lab is an interesting metaphor for making your own happiness; to rise above the trials and tribulations and be happy you did things on your terms,” she added.
The Graham Norton Show airs on BBC1 and the BBC iPlayer at 5.40 ET. The episode also features Cillian Murphy, Greta Lee, Jodie Turner-Smith, Domhnall Gleeson and Lewis Capaldi.
