What We Know About The Row’s Secretive Paris Fashion Week Show
NEED TO KNOW
- Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen’s fashion brand, The Row, threw another show during Paris Fashion Week on Oct. 2
- Keeping to tradition, the label adhered to a no phone and no camera policy, which means many of the details (such as why Kendall Jenner was there) are only known among those who attended
- The Olsens created The Row in 2006 and have channeled their quiet luxury reputation into their hush-hush presentations
‘Tis the season for The Row’s secretive seasonal show in Paris.
On Thursday, Oct. 2, the fashion label, founded by actresses-turned-designers Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen, presented its Spring/Summer 2026 collection and, keeping true to tradition, the show was top secret.
In 2024, the fashion house instated its own etiquette that encouraged guests to be fully in the present, meaning no phones, no camera. That’s all to say, those of us not invited get to spend our day deep-diving the internet for content and letting our imaginations run wild, especially since this season’s show appears to have been even more elusive than the last. This is what we know so far.

Thanks to Thomas Scheck Photography, who was positioned outside the venue, it was confirmed that Kendall Jenner was among those attending.
Although we don’t know whether The Kardashians star — who already modeled in the L’Oréal Paris “You’re Worth It” show on Monday, Sept. 29 — walked or mingled with other guests at the front row, we can certainly say she looked chic in a beige scoop-neck belted dress accessorized with a knitted scarf and sunglasses.
There also seemed to be less excitement around the light bites and beverages this time around as opposed to the usual spread of complimentary snacks, which in years past included madeleines, bread and butter, Instagram blog StyleNotCom sadly reported that water was the only option on the menu.
Also missing? An update on gifting. Last fall, the Instagram account revealed that they were kindly given fashionable stationary for all note-taking needs (yet another emphasis on the no tech rule).
StyleNotCom also gave intel on the beauty trend happening on the runway, citing an unexpected accessory that was incorporated into the models’ hairstyles.
“Instead of hair clips, models had multiple hairbrushes in the hair. Take note. It’s so chic,” the blog read.
The Olsens founded The Row, a contemporary line of luxury clothing, shoes and accessories, in 2006, but rather than becoming the fronting faces of the label, they’ve let their designs — and celebrity clientele (Jenner and Jennifer Lawrence among them) — do the talking.
Over the past decade and a half, the twins have been as elusive as their shows. The last time they were seen backstage at one of their presentations was in September 2022.
While we’re still not sure if the sisters showed themselves this time around, they have been making more and more public appearances, shocking fans who haven’t seen the duo in a New York minute.

In September, the two attended a New York Fashion Week event hosted by Bloomingdale’s and W Magazine. They also recently attended high-profile events solo, Mary-Kate nabbing a spot at the U.S. Open in September, and Ashley, who welcomed her son Otto in August 2023, posing for photos at the YES Scholars 25th Anniversary Gala with sister, Elizabeth Olsen, and husband, Louis Eisner, the same month.
