The pilot of Flight 5047 was recorded by LiveATC.net telling ground control, “We have two CRJs on [taxiway] M that collided.”

“Their right wing clipped our nose and the cockpit wind screens,” he added.

ABC News notes that a member of the cabin crew was hospitalized with a minor knee injury from the collision, while the Port Authority confirms that the incident had no impact on other operations at LaGuardia that evening.

“Delta will work with all relevant authorities to review what occurred as safety of our customers and people comes before all else. We apologize to our customers for the experience,” the airline said in a statement, as reported by CNN.

The statement also noted that while the flight from Charlotte had 57 passengers onboard, the flight to Roanoke was carrying 28 members of the public, none of whom were injured.
