Nicole Kidman Seen for the First Time Since Filing for Divorce from Keith Urban

Nicole Kidman has been seen for the first time since filing for divorce from Keith Urban.

The Oscar-winning actress, 58, was photographed while hiking in Nashville on Wednesday, Oct. 1, two days after news broke that she and her Grammy-winning country-singer husband, 57, had separated after 19 years of marriage.

Kidman was spotted hiking alongside her sister, Antonia Kidman, in photos published by The Daily Mail. For the outing, Kidman wore oversized sunglasses, a grey melange baseball cap with a matching zip-up jacket, and black leggings.

PEOPLE confirmed the pair’s split on Sept. 29, with a source saying, “Nicole’s sister [Antonia] has been a rock and the entire Kidman family has come together to support one another.”

“She didn’t want this,” the insider added of Kidman. “She has been fighting to save the marriage.”

The actress filed for divorce on Sept. 30 in Nashville, where the couple has lived since 2007, according to court documents obtained by PEOPLE. Kidman listed their date of separation as the date of filing, and cited irreconcilable differences as reason for the split.

Kidman and Urban wed in June 2006 and share two children: daughters Sunday Rose, 17, and Faith Margaret, 14. (The actress is also mom to daughter Bella, 32, and son Connor, 30, from her first marriage to Tom Cruise.)

On Sept. 29, a source told PEOPLE that Kidman and Urban’s “lives were moving in different directions” before they officially went their separate ways, “and once he quietly set up his own place, it felt like the writing was on the wall.”

“It really hasn’t been a secret in their circles that Keith and Nicole have been living separately for a while now,” the insider added. “People close to Keith felt like the split was kind of inevitable.”

Kidman and Urban were last spotted together publicly this past summer ahead of their separation, attending the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup match between Los Angeles Football Club and Esperance de Tunis at GEODIS Park on June 20 in Nashville.

The pair attended the sports event days before their 19th wedding anniversary — and three months before the news of their split was made public.

Five days later, on their wedding anniversary, Kidman shared a cozy photo of herself with her husband on Instagram.

“Happy Anniversary Baby ❤️ @KeithUrban,” she wrote at the time.
