All About His Daughters Olivia and Zlata

Dancing with the Stars pro Gleb Savchenko has two tiny dancers of his own.

The proud girl dad shares his daughters Olivia Savchenko and Zlata Savchenko with his ex-wife Elena Samodanova. After he and Samodanova announced their split in November 2020, Gleb wrote on Instagram that they intended “to co-parent our wonderful children together who we love so dearly, and we will strive to continue to be the best parents that we can to them.”

While they share joint custody of their daughters, Gleb revealed to The Sun in March 2024 that his girls had moved to Hong Kong with their mother. “They mean the world to me right now in my life,” he told the outlet. “They’re the most important thing. And I think about them all the time.”

The TV star has called his children his “biggest achievement in life,” telling Digital Journal in April 2024 that “they are such good kids.”

Olivia Savchenko, 14

Gleb and Samodanova welcomed their older daughter, Olivia, on Nov. 1, 2010.

Olivia has followed in her father’s footsteps, describing herself as an “amateur ballroom dancer” on her Instagram. She competed in her first dance competition in 2017, which proud dad Gleb shared photos of on Instagram.

“Olivia’s first ever dance competition,” he wrote. “@elenasamodanova & I are such proud parents and what an amazing feeling to be able to dance with my own daughter ❤️.”

Olivia has since shared the dance floor with her famous father, participating in competitions together. In March 2018, she danced with her dad onstage during the Dancing with the Stars: Live! tour.

“My best partner ever is my daddy @glebsavchenkoofficial,” she wrote on Instagram in December 2017.

Gleb’s daughters moved to Hong Kong in 2023. In February of that year, Olivia posted a snapshot of herself in the country with her mom and younger sister, which she captioned, “My homeland Hong Kong 🇭🇰 I was born and raised here! Missed this place a lot , so happy to be back with my mom and sister.”

Gleb told The Sun in March 2024 that Olivia and Zlata have a “good life” abroad and it’s all “dance, dance, dance for the girls.”

Zlata Savchenko, 7

Gleb and Samodanova became parents twice over on Aug. 1, 2017, when they welcomed daughter Zlata.

The proud father announced the arrival of his second child on X, writing, “Elena & I are so pleased to welcome our new baby girl Zlata into the world born at 10:26pm on 1st August weighing 3.6kg 👶🏼🎀🍼🏩.”

Months before Olivia’s birth, Gleb expressed his excitement over having “baby girl number two.”

“We were planning. We wanted to have another child. It’s the time,” he told PEOPLE in March 2017. “Olivia is already 6, so she can help a little. She wanted to have a little sister, so we were like, ‘That’s a great chance. That’s a great opportunity for us.’ ”

Like her dad and big sister, Zlata dances, too. In December 2018, a video of Zlata at Los Angeles’ PRO DANCE Studios was posted on her Instagram page with the hashtags “#kidsclasses” and “#babyclasses.”

Zlata has shared dances with her dad and Shai Chmerkovskiy, the son of Dancing with the Stars alum Maksim Chmerkovskiy. In March 2021, a post on Zlata’s account was captioned, “Love my dance classes at @prodancela with my mom as a teacher @elenasamodanova and my dance partner #shaichmerkovskiy !”

Zlata competed in her first dance competition with her dad in July 2022. She even hit her “first fashion runway in Hong Kong” over a year later when she was 6 years old, according to proud mom Samodanova.

“She strutted her stuff with confidence, grace, and style, captivating the audience with her natural charm. 💃🏻💕,” Samodanova wrote on Instagram in October 2023. “Watching her shine on the catwalk was a moment I’ll cherish forever. 🌠 Here’s to many more glamorous adventures for my talented little star! 🌟✨.”

In addition to being a dancer and model, Gleb’s second daughter is also a gymnast. Zlata participated in her first gymnastics competition in November 2023, according to her Instagram.

Gleb has referred to his Zlata as his “princess.” For her birthday in 2021, he sweetly wrote on Instagram, “I’m so blessed to have you in my life and I love you so very much.”
