Halsey is giving fans an update on her health over 12 months after revealing she’d been diagnosed with a rare disorder two years prior.
In a TikTok clip posted on Sept. 26, the singer, 31 — who uses she/they pronouns — revealed she’d just undergone chemotherapy, which comes after being diagnosed with Lupus SLE and a rare T-cell lymphoproliferative disorder in 2022.
“Just coming on here to give you guys another speed round of updates. [I] just did another few sessions of chemo,” Hasley said, adding, “[I] had a new port placed.”
Per the Cleveland Clinic, “A chemo port is a small, implantable device that attaches to a vein (usually in your upper chest area).” Per the medical center, “It allows healthcare providers to draw blood and give treatments — including chemotherapy drugs — without a needle stick. A port can remain in place for weeks, months or even years.”
Lupus is an autoimmune disease in which the body’s immune system attacks healthy tissues, rather than targeting the bad bacteria and viruses, causing inflammation that can affect the joints, skin, kidneys, blood cells, brain, heart, and lungs. There is currently no cure for the disease, per the Mayo Clinic.
According to Healthline, lymphoproliferative disorders are a group of diseases characterized by the uncontrolled production of white blood cells called lymphocytes. T-cell disorders include leukemia and lymphoma.

Halsey also discussed her upcoming Back to Badlands international tour. She’s set to hit the road next month in honor of the 10th anniversary of her debut album, Badlands. “We just put the Back to Badlands show together, and it’s going to be unbelievable [and] so amazing,” she said.
“My birthday’s in a couple of days. I’m so busy, I haven’t even honestly thought about it at all,” the “Without Me” singer shared before turning 31 on Monday, Sept. 29.
Halsey also joked about the tour kicking off on Oct. 14 at the Hollywood Forever Cemetery in Los Angeles. She recalled, “Really funny story, me and [my fiancé] Avan [Jogia] were driving in L.A. the other day and he pointed to Hollywood Forever Cemetery, he looked at me and he went, ‘You’re gonna be in there soon.’ ”
