All About Benny Blanco’s Brother, Jeremy Levin

Throughout his life, Benny Blanco has had the support of his family by his side.

The music producer, whose birth name is Benjamin Joseph Levin, was born and raised in Virginia by his parents, Sandra and Andrew Levin, with his brother, Jeremy Levin. Although Jeremy is older than Benny, the two have a close relationship, and Benny previously credited Jeremy with helping him feel confident.

“I always felt pretty confident,” the record producer told PEOPLE in the 2024 Sexiest Man Alive issue. “My mom was like, ‘You’re the best,’ and my brother was always so sweet to me. He always paved the way, always made sure people were nice to me. He is a sweetie.”

For his part, Jeremy has also spoken highly of his brother and frequently refers to him as his “best friend.” Jeremy is also in the music industry and co-founded the music management and publishing company, Mega House Music. In addition to his professional success, Jeremy is also in a relationship with Evi Levin, and they welcomed their first child together in April 2023.

Jeremy is older than Benny, but they were “always best friends”

Jeremy opened up about his relationship with Benny to Rolling Stone in 2020 and explained that even though he is “five and a half years older than him,” they “have always been best friends.”

For Benny’s birthday in 2019, Jeremy expressed his gratitude for his brother while also sharing some of his favorite things about him.

“I’m always at a loss for words when speaking about you, because you are everything I wanted in a brother and more,” Jeremy captioned a selfie of them in March 2019. “You have tremendous loyalty, the heart of a champion, and your work ethic is second to none. A lot of life is luck and some of it is skill, and you seem to have both.”

Jeremy further complimented Benny on his success in the music industry and for teaching him “a lot about life and business.”

“You light up every room you are in, and that’s just part of what makes you Ben Boogs,” he continued.

Jeremy got Benny interested in music

As an older brother, Jeremy helped instill a love of music in Benny when they were children.

“Growing up, he [Benny] was always stealing my CDs and tapes, wanting to know what I was listening to,” Jeremy recalled to Rolling Stone. “He just loved music. Ever since I can remember, my dad would yell at him for beating on the table with silverware, making drum sounds, and beatboxing.”

Jeremy remembered that at first, Benny wanted to be a rapper and had a talent for beatboxing, as well. At one point in their childhood, Jeremy saw R&B singer Sisqó on a plane and flagged him down to introduce him to his brother. After Jeremy encouraged Benny to show him his skills, Benny panicked.

“Benny froze like Eminem in 8 Mile,” Jeremy recalled to the outlet. “Sisqo’s sitting there waiting for it, and he never says anything. He literally walks away, and then he starts beatboxing to me. I was like, ‘I hate you. This was your moment to shine and you blew it. We’re never going to get another chance in music again. This is the end of Benny Blanco.’ ”

Benny continued pursuing rapping and freestyle for a few years before realizing that he was more talented at producing records and writing songs. As soon as Benny started to gain traction in the industry, he made Jeremy his manager and introduced him to the business.

“When I graduated from University of Delaware, I didn’t know what I wanted to do,” Jeremy shared. “I was working at a telemarketing company for skincare products. This was in 2008 and when it was really hard to find anything … I’ve always loved music, and Benny was like ‘Why don’t you come work for me? I’ll show you the business, I’ll teach you things and introduce you to people.’ ”

He founded a music management company

After learning the ropes of the music production and management business from his brother, Jeremy co-founded Mega House Music with longtime friend David Silberstein.

The two created the company over 10 years ago and have since managed some of the most successful songwriters and producers — including the artists behind Shawn Mendes’ song “Stitches,” DJ Snake and Justin Bieber’s song “Let Me Love You” and Maroon 5‘s song “Moves Like Jagger.”

“We just never want to grow too big where we’re not involved with our clients on a daily level and we’re not accessible,” Jeremy explained to Rolling Stone. “We could have 100 clients, but that’s not our game plan. We never want to have so many clients that they’re wondering where they’re going to get attention from.”

Jeremy has one son

Jeremy became a father when he and his partner, Evi, welcomed their first child, a son named Lucas Hudson Levin, on April 4, 2023. Jeremy and Evi shared the news by posting pictures of the newborn wearing a brown knit onesie.

“Watching his birth was something that I will surely never forget, and the courage that Evi showed was beyond incredible,” Jeremy wrote in the joint Instagram post. “The joy he has brought our family already is immeasurable. He is definitely our son :).”

Jeremy described his firstborn as “stubborn at times” but also “smart” with a “huge personality that lights up the room.”

“I can’t tell you how excited we are to watch him grow up, and become whatever he wants to be in this life,” the new dad continued. “To my wonderful fiancé and life partner Evi, thanks for sacrificing so much and bringing such a magical human into our lives. I am forever grateful for all that you endured to deliver us such an amazing child.”

Benny showed his support at the time by commenting under the post, “do they make that outfit in my size ?”

Jeremy and his partner have supported Benny and Selena Gomez’s relationship

After Benny and Selena Gomez announced their engagement in December 2024, they celebrated their major relationship milestone with close friends and family members — including Jeremy and Evi.

Both Jeremy and Evi joined the couple for their engagement festivities and congratulated them in separate Instagram Stories. Jeremy posted a photo of himself and Evi with his parents, Selena and Benny, and captioned the snap, “So happy for you guys!!”

Evi posted the same photo of the family of six and wrote over the since-expired Instagram Stories, “I finally got a sister!! Congrats 🍾. So happy for you guys🥹.”
