Inside Reese Witherspoon’s Relationship with Oliver Haarmann (Exclusive Source)

Reese Witherspoon and Oliver Haarmann‘s bond is continuing to deepen.

A week after the pair were spotted on a date night in London, a source tells PEOPLE that The Morning Show actress, 49, is in “such a good place right now,” personally and professionally.

“Her relationship with Oliver is very special to her,” says the source. “He’s not interested in the Hollywood spotlight. He’s there for her.”

The source adds that Witherspoon’s businessman boyfriend is “very supportive of her,” and her three kids “are doing well.”

“Everything is balanced,” says the source, “and it makes her very happy.” 

Witherspoon has son Deacon, 21, and daughter Ava, 26, with her actor-ex-husband Ryan Phillippe. She also shares son Tennessee, 12, with ex-husband Jim Toth. Haarmann, who is a minority co-owner of the NHL’s New York Islanders and founding partner of Searchlight Capital, has two children from a previous marriage.

The pair were first spotted together in July 2024, when they arrived via helicopter in New York City together, and then later while dining at L’Artusi.

At the time, a source told PEOPLE they were “friends.” Another insider said the Legally Blonde star was “taking things slow when it comes to dating.”

“She enjoys it but doesn’t want it to be a big focus. She’s busy with work and her son,” said the insider at the time. “These are her biggest priorities.”

Multiple sources confirmed to PEOPLE in September 2024 that the pair had started dating. The next month, an insider said Witherspoon was “having fun” with Haarmann.

Witherspoon, in August 2023, opened up to Harper’s Bazaar about her and Toth’s divorce, telling the outlet, “It’s a vulnerable time for me.” The former couple married in March 2011 and split in March 2023 before finalizing their divorce by August 2023.

The star’s schedule is packed. In October, her media company Hello Sunshine will be hosting its third annual experiential fan event, Shine Away, where Witherspoon will kick off the book tour for her upcoming thriller, Gone Before Goodbye, alongside co-author Harlan Coben.
