KJ Apa is apparently giving props to his costar Madelyn Cline.

The Riverdale alum, 28, reacted to the news of Cline, 27, being spotted cozying up with Prince Constantine-Alexios of Greece in New York City earlier this week. On Tuesday, Sept. 23, DeuxMoi shared snaps of the pair spending time together at The Lions Bar in New York City’s East Village neighborhood.

And now, Apa — who appears alongside Cline in Prime Video’s The Map That Leads to You — is sharing his thoughts on the rumored romance, with a little humor.

“Proud of you jimmy,” he commented on PEOPLE’s Instagram post on Thursday, Sept. 25.

Earlier this week, DeuxMoi uploaded photos of Outer Banks star Cline and Constantine-Alexios, 26, kissing and spending time together at the restaurant. In another clip, the pair could be seen walking down a bustling New York City street and holding hands.

Neither Cline nor Constantine-Alexios has publicly commented on the romance rumors. PEOPLE previously reached out to a representative for Cline for comment.

Cline was previously romantically linked to Outer Banks costar Chase Stokes from 2019 until their 2022 split, as well as Pete Davidson, who she was first linked to in September 2023 and split from sometime in 2024. “The jokes, they write themselves. And I said it before, and I’ll say it again, that is my only comment,” Cline said of her relationship with Davidson in a July interview with Allure. “He has a really cute dog and some really great girlfriends now.”

Constantine-Alexios is the grandson of King Constantine II, the last monarch before Greece abolished the institution in 1973. His family still represents the country as royalty and engages in philanthropy.

Cline and Apa’s latest Prime Video film stars Cline as Heather, a young woman on a European adventure whose encounter with Apa’s Jack alters the trajectory of her life. The film is based on the novel by J.P. Monninger and also stars Sofia Wylie, Madison Thompson, Orlando Norman and Josh Lucas

The actors caught up with PEOPLE about the film in August, when Apa shared that things were instantly “easy” between them as soon as they met. Cline, who was preparing for Netflix’s fifth and final season of Outer Banks, also explained at the time that it felt like the right time to say goodbye to the show.

“It’s happy, sad,” Cline said about leaving behind the show, filmed in her hometown of Charleston, when the series ends. “I love Charleston. As long as my parents are here, I will probably always come back to Charleston. It is very much a part of me [but] home isn’t here anymore. I get homesick for L.A. or even New York. For me, home is where your friends are and that’s what makes me happy.”

“So I will miss it in a way, but I think we’re all filled with such gratitude and we’re very, very happy and truly so lucky for the experience,” she added. “But I think we all kind of feel like it’s time and we’ve been playing these characters for so long. We’re all very excited to step into some different shoes.”
