Valerie Bertinelli dressed up as Taylor Swift for Halloween, two years before the superstar was even born!
In an Instagram post from Thursday, Sept. 25, the Hot in Cleveland alum pointed out the similarities between her throwback Halloween costume and the 35-year-old pop star’s highly anticipated album, The Life of a Showgirl.
The photo–which is from 1987, according to the cookbook author–shows Bertinelli, 65, in a blue velvet and glitzy leotard, long white gloves, sheer tights and an elaborate headpiece with more sparkles and feathers. The showgirl costume is similar to the artwork the Grammy winner has shared from her 12th studio album, which is set to release on Oct. 3.

To her side, her late ex-husband Eddie Van Halen dressed as a pirate in an oversized black hat, billowy tunic, a missing tooth and a bottle of liquor in his hand.
Bertinelli, who tied the knot with Van Halen in 1981, wrote on Instagram, “#tbt 1987 Very much looking forward to #thelifeofashowgirl for over 30 years now 😇 @taylornation @taylorswift ❤️🔥”
The costumed picture comes a week after the celebrity chef wrote off internet trolls “annoyed” by her posting retro photos.
Last week, on Sept. 17, Bertinelli posted a studio pass that she still uses, giving a glimpse of a glamorous ID photo taken in 2019.
Using the pass now “is a slight annoyance because I don’t look like this anymore, and I especially don’t look like this when I walk into the studio in the morning sans makeup 😅😝,” Bertinelli wrote.
The Food Network alum then added, “And a postscript to those who are annoyed by my posting throwbacks. This site is free, you don’t pay for my content, and being nice costs nothing. 😜”
She concluded the caption, “It literally takes more time out of your day to leave a rude comment than to just scroll on by. Be blessed and be a blessing. ✌🏻”
