Swift doubled down on the diamonds with the actual outfit — a pink velvet bodysuit — covered in a giant 3D gemstone-shaped embellishment. As Page Six reported, the one-piece, which Swift wears with a bejeweled and feathered headpiece and glittery stilettos, debuted in the Fall 2023 collection by The Blonds and is trimmed with crystals.
A press release shared at the time revealed that the collection was designed with influences from films, Valley of the Dolls, Breakfast at Tiffany’s and Butterfield 8. It also has nods to the “style, tumultuous love affairs and famous obsession with jewelry” belonging to the late Elizabeth Taylor, who has more than one tie to Swift’s new album.

When the Miss Americana star announced the 12 tracks off The Life of a Showgirl, fans quickly noticed a song titled after the late actress, to which the official Elizabeth Taylor Estate responded with an exclusive merch drop — a varsity “Elizabeth Taylor” sweatshirt in an orange perfectly tailored to Swift’s new era.
Beyond aesthetics, the look (and the rest of the collection) represents a bigger picture of the “romantic dream” of finding “that perfect someone,” which could also symbolize Swift’s epic love story with Travis Kelce.
Swift announced The Life of a Showgirl on the New Heights podcast on Aug. 12 and soon released a series of album covers amped up with old Hollywood glam.
True to form she went all in with her wardrobe, which included an eye-popping display of bling and a carat count to show for it.
