Alex Guarnaschelli’s latest challenge isn’t culinary — it is finding Eric Adjepong love.

The Iron Chef took to Instagram on Wednesday, Sept. 24, to share her sweet exchange with the fellow Food Network star. Her post had a clear question: “How is my friend Eric Adjepong single?”

She shared a screenshot of the Alex vs. America costars’ text exchange, which started with Guarnaschelli, 56, saying, “Hi my friend. Was just thinking of you. What are you up to?”

Adjepong, 38, responded, “Hey friend. Aww thanks for checking in. Been working a lot and hanging with my daughter. Not much else. lol you know my lifestyle.”

The mother of one wrote, “That’s it? I need to find you a GF.” Following a positive response from the chef-owner of the Washington, D.C. restaurant Elmina, she continued, “Not joking I’m gonna do it.”

The father of one wrote, “If there is anyone that can help, it be you. So yes Chef, please!” The chef-owner of Butter in New York City responded, “I’m on it.”

The comical post quickly blew up online, with nearly 800,000 views and thousands of comments by the time of this story’s publication. Several comments were from fans propositioning Adjepong, like one person who wrote, “Hold on let me get divorced real quick 😂.”

Many Food Network hosts, judges and personalities were also on board with finding Adjepong some love.

Aarti Sequeira said that she wants to be included in the journey, writing, “I’m in… as long as there’s a panel of Indian aunties weighing in (hi @maneetchauhan) with our network of single ladies for our Eric!” She asked the culinary network to “spread the word!!!” at the end of her comment.

Michael Symon proposed a double-date-type dating show. “How are either of you single? Alex vs Adjepong .. can be like a cooking for love series!.. cmon @foodnetwork .. that would be juicy!” he wrote.

They weren’t alone in tagging Food Network, like Jet Tila writing that he’d “watch the hell out of that show” if the network films it.

Tiffany Derry shared her own experience trying to set Adjepong up. She wrote, “Bachelor:Chef edition 😂I tried to find him someone and failed miserably”

Food Network’s Alex vs. America, which is premiering its fifth season on Tuesday, Oct. 7, sees Adjepong, the host, presenting talented chefs for Guarnaschelli to face off. Fellow Food Network stars — some of whom commented their support on Wednesday’s Instagram post — judge the chefs’ dishes and choose a winner.
