Tarek El Moussa Reveals Dramatic Before and After of His and Wife Heather’s Massive New Closet

Tarek El Moussa is offering an inside look at his and wife Heather’s new closet!

Three months after the married HGTV stars revealed they were moving into a new home, the pair are starting to unveil some of the newly renovated spaces in their abode. Tarek, 44, took to his Instagram Stories on Wednesday, Sept. 24 to show the dramatic before and after of their closet makeover. 

The Flip Off star began the series of posts by explaining how they worked with in-home design service Tailored Closet Orange County to help bring their vision to life, with Tarek noting how the company “really took the time to understand how Heather and I live.” 

He then went on to reveal what the closet looked like before they redesigned it. In the clip, empty white cabinetry can be seen tacked up against the wall, along with ample space to hang up clothes. 

The next clip shows the “during” process, which left their primary closet completely empty after stripping all the cabinetry from the space. 

In the big reveal, the spacious closet looks completely transformed with dark wooden drawers, sleek glass doors to hide their shoes, and built-in clothes racks for the couple’s expansive wardrobes. 

Tarek also made sure to highlight the accent lighting installed in the cabinets, drawers and lining the floors. 

In addition to Tarek’s Instagram Stories, he and his wife shared a joint Instagram post that offered another peek inside their new closet. In the caption, they noted, “this was the closet glow-up we didn’t know we needed.”

They also highlighted how their closet has plenty of space for “Tarek’s black shirts” and for Heather, “ALL of my heels.”

In June, the pair made the announcement that they were moving into their newly purchased home in Orange County, Calif., and they would be documenting the process of transforming it into their perfect family home. 

They revealed the life change in a joint Instagram post along with the caption, “We have some news….We’re moving!!! We are so excited for this new chapter and new adventure for our family.”

Tarek and Heather share two-year-old son Tristan together. Their blended family also includes Tarek’s older children from his previous marriage to ex-wife Christina Haack: daughter Taylor, 15, and son Brayden, 10. 

The couple added in the caption, “We can’t wait to make this house a home and add our El Moussa design flare and show you guys some of the process.”

In August, a representative for the couple confirmed to PEOPLE that they were putting their old house in Newport Beach, Calif., up for rent. 

According to their rep, the El Moussas listed their former abode for $25,000 a month. The married couple of nearly four years are “keeping the house as an investment property, one of many in their real estate portfolio,” the rep added.
