Teddi Mellencamp is updating her supporters on how she’s coping with her stage 4 cancer diagnosis.
In a new Instagram post shared Monday, Sept. 22, the The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills alum, 44, admitted that things are not always easy as she navigates her new normal while prioritizing her health.
“Mondays, am I right?” she began in her caption, which included a single selfie of a bare-faced Mellencamp sitting in a home in a cozy hoodie. Her short blonde hair was on full display.
“Emotions high. Love to everyone out there. If I haven’t responded to your text, I love you. I am just struggling,” she continued.
Mellencamp didn’t go into detail about her struggles. Instead, she invited her 1.2 million followers to come together and share their “positives from today.”
“Mine is: I feel very grateful for the people in my life,” the former reality star wrote, adding a pink heart emoji.
Some fans immediately took the opportunity to offer Mellencamp words of encouragement.

“My sister had lung cancer , breast cancer , throat cancer stage 4 with liver cancer. She beat them all and has been cancer free for 5 and half years!” one person wrote.
Another added, “My dad beat stage 4 melanoma!! Keep on fighting !! Immunotherapy isn’t pretty but he’s been cancer free for several years. Hugs and prayers to you.”
Mellencamp was diagnosed with stage 2 melanoma — the deadliest form of skin cancer — in 2022, and has had 17 melanoma spots and four brain tumors removed. She confirmed in April that her cancer had metastasized to her brain and lungs.
In a video shared to her Instagram Stories in August, the Bravo star confessed that all of her appointments can sometimes take a toll on her.

“At this point, I feel like I live in doctors’ offices.” the Two Ts in a Pod co-host said while wearing a paper hospital gown. “Here we go. Go get your checks everyone — for all the things. All the appointments. It’s worth it.”
In a PEOPLE exclusive look at her appearance on The Jamie Kern Lima Show podcast last month, Mellencamp discussed not knowing where her future with the RHOB stood due to the physical challenges associated with her treatments.

“Yeah, no. I don’t have the bandwidth for it right now,” she said. “I’m not somebody that likes to do something when I can’t be good at it.”
“I feel like my words are a little stuttery sometimes and it doesn’t mean I’m telling a lie,” Mellencamp added. “Some people have to relearn to talk after having these surgeries that I had. The fact that I can do as much as I can do, I’m so blessed for. But it still happens to me, and some days are very bad.”
