There’s something new brewing in the snack aisle — and it’s downright spellbinding.

Just like Elphaba (played by Emmy, Grammy and Tony-award winning actress Cythnia Erivo) and Glinda (multi-hyphenate star Ariana Grande), the duo of new Takis proves that opposites really do snack together.
“Emerald Heat” channels Elphaba’s fiery determination with a bold kick of habanero intensity, while “Spellbindingly Sweet” brings Glinda’s magnetic charm and whimsy to life with a cinnamon-sugar twist on the classic Takis crunch.
Fans can find the flavors in special-edition packaging featuring a magical Wicked-inspired design — but only while supplies last. Five Below will officially launch the line on Oct. 1, though some stores may already have them stocked early. Albertsons follows on Oct. 27, with Kroger rolling out the flavors nationwide on Nov. 1.

In April 2022, director Jon M. Chu announced on X that the film adaptation of the long-running Broadway musical, adapted from Gregory Maguire’s 1995 book Wicked: The Life and Times of the Wicked Witch of the West, would be split into two parts. The first Wicked was released in theaters nationwide in November 2024.
“As we prepared this production over last year, it became increasingly clear that it would be impossible to wrestle the story of WICKED into a single film without doing some real damage to it,” Chu wrote.
The post continued, “So we decided to give ourselves a bigger canvas and make not just one WICKED movie but TWO!!!!! With more space, we can tell the story of WICKED as it was meant to be told while bringing even more depth and surprise to the journeys of these beloved characters,” he wrote.
So whether fans lean spicy or sweet, there’s a taste that fits for every movie viewer — perfect for snacking before (or during) the big-screen trip to Oz.
