Yungblud’s Girlfriend Jesse Jo Stark Celebrate His New Song as Sick Musician Snoozes

As Yungblud recovered from a recent illness, his girlfriend Jesse Jo Stark was there to lighten the mood.

On Friday, Sept. 19, Stark, 34, uploaded a video of herself singing and dancing to the rocker’s newest song release as he laid sick on the couch in the background.

“When yer more excited about yer loverss song release than he is x,” she wrote over the TikTok video.

“congrats sicky baby! x,” she captioned the post, congratulating him on the collaboration with Aerosmith titled “My Only Angel.”

The video comes after Yungblud, born Dominic Harrison, postponed his show at The Fillmore in Philadelphia on Sept. 18 due to doctor’s orders.

“Philly, I’m gutted to have to do this but I need to reschedule the show tonight,” Yungblud, 28, said in a since-expired Instagram post.

He added, “I’ve been trying to get better for two days since New York but I literally can’t get off the floor and doctors have advised me that I have a virus that requires me to rest and take it seriously. We will be rescheduling and moving the show to The Met Philadelphia on a date in the very near future. If you had tickets, please check your emails later today for more information.”

The following day, Yungblud shared a video of himself singing along to “My Only Angel” with his head sticking out of a car window.

“Boston I’m on my way. ☠️,” he captioned the post. He later uploaded videos of his performance from that show.

In July, Yungblud had to postpone a show in Liverpool, England due to suffering from tonsillitis.

“My f—ing tonsillitis still hasn’t cleared up so I’m getting steroid treatment,” he wrote on his Instagram Stories. “I have plans to get the f—ers out as they’re a weak point for me but I need to find some time as obviously we’ve been non stop.”

“I’m ready to rock but my body is letting me down this week, I hate being in bed it terrifies me,” he added. “Please understand I hate letting you down. I wanna say f— it and just do it but they said I could really do damage to my voice,”

As for Stark, Yungblud went Instagram-official with the singer and actress in 2021.

“We’re really honest with each other,” she told PEOPLE at the MTV VMAs earlier this month. “We always say love’s not dead, and I’m pretty intense, and he’s so open, and I think yin and yang. We have beautiful parents to look up to, and I believe in love. That’s it. We believe in love.”

When asked who her pick for PEOPLE’s Sexiest Man Alive was, Stark hyped up her boyfriend.

“He is the sexiest man alive, and he’s got the heart as well to match the outside,” she said. “Insides match the outside.”
