Tamra Judge Details New Breast Augmentation After Vowing Against Implants

Tamra Judge has disclosed new details about her recent cosmetic enhancement.

In a Sept. 18 episode of her Two Ts in a Pod podcast with Teddi Mellencamp, the Real Housewives of Orange County star, 58, revealed that she underwent another breast augmentation on July 14 to alter what her surgeon, Dr. Donny Mowlds, had diagnosed as an animation deformity.

According to the National Library of Medicine, this is when a complication post-reconstructive surgery happens due to “contraction of the pectoralis muscle against the breast implant, causing it and the overlying breast shape to unnaturally shift with muscle contraction,” which is what Judge experienced.

Joking that it was her “100th breast surgery,” Judge went on to explain why she went under the knife. “I couldn’t wear low-cut shirts because I had a line, a crease that went through both sides of my boobs. It started to look like I had two boobs on each side if that makes sense,” she said, adding that her pec muscle detached from her chest and moved towards her shoulder.

She added that the experience wasn’t painful but her deformity started to worsen because of her workout routine. So, what Dr. Mowlds did was sew the muscle back to her chest and input new 150cc high-profile “gummy bear” implants over the muscle. (She says Dr. Mowlds had originally planned to go as high as 250cc implants, which were too big for Judge’s figure)

Judge admitted that she “vowed to never do implants again” after removing her previous set of implants five years ago. At the time, she experienced what she believed to be symptoms of breast implant illness, which according to Cleveland Clinic can occur when someone has saline-filled or silicone-filled implants inserted. Judge recalled suffering from autoimmune issues that had dissipated when she got her implants removed, although she considers it could’ve been triggered by stress.

A part of the reason Judge decided to come clean was because a RHOC producer called her out on it — which also accidentally revealed the news to Judge’s 19-year-old daughter, Sophia, who was shocked to learn of the update.

“I had a low-cut dress on in my next confessional look, and I’m doing group confessional with Sophia, and we’re talking about plastic surgery,” Judge said. “I didn’t know what to say…I couldn’t go into these great details about what really was the issue.”

Judge revealed that the five-hour surgery left her in two months of pain, but she’s over the moon about her results. “I’m glad I had it done. I think they look beautiful. They’re full, I can wear low-cut shirts now, it makes me want to wear low-cut shirts,” she said.

Dr. Mowlds had also worked on Judge’s brow lift and emergency stomach reconstruction surgery, as well as her CO2 laser and chemical peel procedures in 2024.

During a past podcast episode that actually aired on the day of her breast operation, Judge had denied having undergone plastic surgery and credited what some, including Andy Cohen, saw as a refreshed appearance to weight loss and non-invasive tweaks.

“I’m like, my hair’s darker. I’m definitely thinner, which makes a difference, I think, in your face. And then, new teeth [Judge got new veneers in October 2024]. That’s it, guys,” she quipped. “No surgery, no nothing.”
