Millie Bobby Brown and Jake Bongiovi Celebrate First Wedding Anniversary

Millie Bobby Brown and Jake Bongiovi are celebrating one year of marriage!

On Sunday, Sept. 21, the Stranger Things star, 21, shared a post on Instagram in honor of her first wedding anniversary with her husband, who is the son of Jon Bon Jovi.

“1 year married 🤍. I love being your wife,” Brown captioned the heartfelt post, which featured a black-and-white photo of the couple embracing on their wedding day.

In his own anniversary post, Bongiovi, 23, shared another photo taken at their large wedding ceremony, writing in the caption: “One year in the books, many more to go. I love you so much my beautiful wife. Happy anniversary 💕.”

After they were first linked in June 2021, Brown and Bongiovi officially got married in May 2024, tying the knot in a small, intimate ceremony before exchanging vows again with a much larger crowd present in September that year.

According to The Sun, Bon Jovi, 63, and his wife, Dorothea, along with Brown’s parents, were in attendance at the secret ceremony in May, which was described as a “very low-key, romantic affair.”

For their September nuptials, Brown and Bongiovi hosted a dreamy celebration at Villa Cetinale in Italy, where they exchanged vows for a second time surrounded by friends and family.

“Forever and always, your wife,” the actress captioned an October 2024 Instagram post that featured photos from the wedding and a glimpse of her two stunning bridal gowns.

During a March episode of Alex Cooper’s Call Her Daddy podcast, Brown shared several fun details about the wedding, saying that the day felt like “lightning in a bottle.”

“I will say, as much as I did control every factor of it, I remember everything about the ceremony, the vows. I remember the feeling, not caring,” she said.

“My guests were stood up for most of our ceremony,” the actress recalled, “because we forgot to tell them to sit down, and even that, I’m like, ‘I just don’t care.’ I love it, it’s just part of it, it’s the story you get to tell. And after, I let the reins go and whatever happens now is just fun.”

Just weeks before their wedding anniversary, the couple announced that they had welcomed a baby girl via adoption.

“This summer we welcomed our sweet baby girl through adoption. We are beyond excited to embark on this beautiful next chapter of parenthood in both peace and privacy. “And then there were 3,” they wrote in a joint Instagram post on Aug. 21.

Though they have kept the details about their daughter private — including her name — the pair have been candid about being young parents.

On Sept. 1, the 21-year-old posted a series of pictures on her Instagram, which included one of her husband holding a baby carrier. Bongiovi was pictured walking on a tarmac toward a plane while carrying their baby girl in his right arm. “🍼✨🐥,” Brown captioned the series of snaps.

A source told PEOPLE soon after the adoption was announced that Brown often talked about wanting to start a family at a young age — even before she married Bongiovi.

“She’s so young, but so focused. And she has the biggest heart,” the insider said. “There’s no doubt that she’s a great mom. Pretty much everything she sets her mind to, she crushes.”

“And they have really worked on creating this special family life in Georgia. She loves her farm — it’s going to be such a special place for the baby to grow up,” the source added. “Even before they were married, she often spoke about her wish to be a young mom. And Jake was always on the same page. They’re in it together.”
