Cardi B isn’t biting her tongue.
On Friday, Sept. 19, the rapper dropped her first studio album Am I the Drama? in over seven years — and she didn’t hold back on the name-drops.
Beginning with “Magnet,” Cardi, born Belcalis Almánzar, seemingly reignited beef with City Girls rapper JT. On the song, Cardi calls out a “fake friend” who kicked her while she was down.
“Now let’s talk about this hating-ass bitch, ungrateful-ass bitch,” Cardi, 32,raps. “I don’t care, met somebody, gotta say it-ass bitch / Fake friend-ass bitch, a clown-ass bitch.”
Cardi and JT, who previously collaborated on “Twerk,” began their feud in 2022 when JT posted about GloRilla’s “Tomorrow 2,” which featured Cardi, but did not mention her. Since then, JT has also seemingly dissed Cardi on “No Bars” in 2023 and “Sideways” in 2024. During an exchange of posts on X, Cardi called JT a “lapdog.” On “Magnet,” she calls her a “tail-wagging ass bitch.”
In the second verse, Cardi drags JT’s boyfriend Lil Uzi Vert — who began using they/them pronouns in 2022 and often dresses androgynously — into the situation by saying that though her ex Offset was unfaithful to her, the couple never shared accessories, intimate or otherwise.
“All that dick ridin’, still ain’t get no feature-ass bitch (Haha) / She just mad she got a n—- she be sharin’ bags with (Shh) / My n—- cheat, but I don’t stick no dildos in his ass, bitch (Haha) / You look a hot mess (Hahaha), easily impressed-ass bitch,” Cardi raps.

On the same track, Cardi called Ice Spice a “snow-face bitch” and asked “whose spot is you takin’? My spot’s forever, ho, I’m like a Dalmatian.”
This line is seemingly a response to Ice Spice’s 2024 song “BB Belt,” which fans believed was a diss track about Cardi as she rapped: “Fallin’ behind like, bitch, pick up your pace. It was funny ’til I took her place.”
Up next, on “Man of Your Word,” Cardi breaks down the end of her marriage to Offset — from whom she filed for divorce in July 2024 — and said “I learned my lesson.”
“I really hope you find love, I hope you find a good spirit / I hope she satisfy your needs and everything that I didn’t / And I mean that, it’s a lot of pressure when a bitch an icon,” she raps. “I know things could’ve been perfect in a different lifetime / But I really do wish you the best, continue being a winner / And if I had one wish, I only wish you would’ve been a man of your word.”
On “What’s Goin’ On,” Cardi gets more specific about the reason behind their split. In the beginning of the track, she notices that he’s treating her differently. Then, after letting “s— slide so many times,” she decides to walk away.
“Seems like every day, a new lie (Right) / You f— anything with two eyes (Facts) / How can you treat me like I ain’t s—? (How?) / N—-, on our wedding day, you cried (You cried) / You wrote down some beautiful vows (And then) / Gave my first beautiful child (And then) / Told me you was quiet for all of these hoes / Come to find out you the one loud (Huh?).”

On “Shower Tears,” Cardi again accuses Offset of seeing other women behind her back — and she gets to a point where she’s “sick of fightin’, ‘sick of cryin’.”
“This s— is embarrassin’, I am not no average bitch / You wanna play marriage, then you can have these carats then (Have it then) / I put my baby in her car seat then be out of here / Here we go again, these some bitches you don’t know again (Huh),” she raps. “Must be a magician, putting pictures in your phone again / Don’t tell me these hoes is friends and you out with your bros again / For all of this, might as well just be alone again.”
In her most direct song on the album, “Pretty and Petty,” Cardi drags BIA after the rapper came for her on 2024’s “SUE MEEE?” rapping, “Thought your ass was for the culture, you just tryin’ to ride the wave / You should be home with your kids ’cause bitch, you speak like second grade.”
Cardi opens the song by noting, “Name five BIA songs, gun pointin’ to your head.” She also insults her looks and calls her “Diarrhea BIA”: “I’d rather die on the surgery table before I gotta walk around here lookin’ like you.”
During an appearance on The Breakfast Club on Sept. 19, Cardi further explained why she decided to address BIA directly on the track.
“You mentioned my kids tryna be cute,” Cardi said. “She did her little diss and it was trash… I could’ve [left] it at that, but everything on social media is gonna be seen. When my kids grow up one day and they see that you mentioned them, they’re gonna ask me, ‘So what you said? What you did [in response]?’ I’m not gonna tell my kids, ‘I felt like she took the high road cause she lost, cause people wasn’t on her side.’ Nah, I’m not sayin’ that to my kids. I’m [gonna be] like, ‘You see how I violated?'”
She continued, “She thought that I was copying her and I had a conversation with her. First, we was cursing each other out. Then I had a real conversation with her and I was like, ‘Listen, I’m not copying you. I don’t even look at you. You’re not a person that I look at or I’m inspired by.'”
