Ciara Reveals ‘Bargain’ She Made with Son, 5, Before Walking Runway (Exclusive)

Ciara may have had to strike a deal with her son to get him to walk down the runway at New York Fashion Week.
On Thursday, Sept. 18, Ciara was one proud mom as she watched three of her kids — sons Future Zahir, 11, Sienna, 8, and Win, 5 — walk down the Macy’s x Rookie Kids: “Runway on Broadway” catwalk in the middle of New York City.
The singer chatted with PEOPLE ahead of the show and shared that she had to play “stage mom” a little when her kids got nervous before heading down the runway.
“I did not see any nerves coming through, but maybe she just could be,” Ciara says of her daughter Sienna. “But they’re ready. I think it’s going to be fun.”

“We know what happens for kids, I think a lot of times when the lights come on, they don’t really think. I think for us as adults, sometimes we get in our heads. Kids just have this ability to just go and shine,” she continues.
However, she explained that she had to give a little extra support to her son Win.
“You know what? I kind of bargain a little bit with Win, I was like, ‘Win, you go out there and shut it down, just tell him what you want after and it’s yours,’ ” explains Ciara. “He’s like, ‘Got it.’ And then he was ready.”
Ciara and Wilson’s founded 3Brand was featured in the runway show, presenting the latest back-to-school and fall styles fitted on their kids and others who modeled the looks on the catwalk. Nike, Levi’s, Abercrombie Kids, Lacoste and Converse were also included.
Elsewhere in the interview, Ciara called herself a “stage mom,” and her reason for being one makes total sense as a mom who wants nothing but the best for her kids.
“I’m a little bit of stage mom, I can’t help it!” she shares, explaining, “But when your babies are out there, you want them to shine in their full brightness. Because I see what they do at home, I’m like, ‘Do it on the stage too. Okay?’ Yeah.”
Alongside Future, Win and Sienna, Ciara is mom to daughter Amora, 21 months.
