After the Indiana Fever pulled off a shocking upset over the Atlanta Dream in the first round of the WNBA playoffs on Thursday, Sept. 18, the star guard celebrated her team’s victory by flashing a “W” to the booing crowd.

In video from the moment, Clark and her teammates quickly walked off the court at Gateway Center Arena in College Park, Ga. following their 87-85 win, and briefly acknowledged the salty crowd.

Clark, 23, grinned widely, clapped and held up her hands in a “W” gesture before she walked backwards and continued to show the sign to Dream fans as she headed to the locker room.

On social media after the game, the injured WNBA star was still savoring the win.

“FEVVVVVVV SHOOWWWWWWW!!!!!!!!!!!! ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ @IndianaFever,” Clark wrote on X and then added another post two minutes later in appreciation of the Fever’s coach: “STEPHANIE WHITE !!!!!!!!!!!”

The underdog headed into the series, Indiana forced a game 3 after winning the previous game decisively, 77-60.

Last year’s rookie of the year further celebrated on her Instagram Stories in which she shared a post from the Fever’s account that showed nine analysts’ predictions for the series. All picked the Dream to win.

“Now You Know,” the Fever wrote in the caption.

For Clark — who has been missing from the lineup since July 15 with a groin injury — watching from the bench has not been easy.

Last week, on her Instagram Stories, she shared an image of herself on the court, celebrating as fans behind her cheered.

“I miss this so bad,” Clark wrote.

The second-year star has only played 13 games this year after suffering the injury in a game against the Connecticut Sun.

The team later revealed that a left ankle bone bruise has further complicated her recovery.
