A Nevada couple is celebrating after the man’s wedding ring was successfully recovered from the bottom of a lake.
AJ and Steffanie Limbo were enjoying a day at Willow Beach on Aug. 2 when AJ realized his wedding ring went missing in the water, KYTX reported Sept. 18. According to the news station, the couple tied the knot less than a year ago.
“I love jumping off this rock right there. The second time I jumped off, I climbed up on top of this little boulder and that’s when I noticed the ring had fell off. I was like, ‘Oh no,’” AJ said, per FOX 5 Las Vegas.

According to FOX 5, his ring was lost for 34 days before the couple got it back with the help of a scuba diver after Steffanie shared their dilemma on social media.
“I posted it on there not expecting or hoping for anything, just to see what happens,” Steffanie said.
Certified master scuba diver Ken Wige, who is local to the area, answered the call.
“I think Ken commented on it the same day if not the next day,” she added.
Footage from both news outlets showed the couple in canoes at Willow Beach as a scuba diver searched the waters around them. Wige has reportedly spent years removing debris from the waters of Willow Beach.

The master diver was able to assist in locating AJ’s wedding ring “in minutes,” KYTX said.
“I see the message, I see this and that it’s Willow Beach. Heck yeah. You lost it there? Jumping off the cliff? I know right where that spot is, would be more than happy to go take a look,” Wige said of his initial reaction to Steffanie’s Facebook post.
However, it was another diver, a woman named Beate who volunteered to join the search, who actually found the ring.
“I have her diving down at 9:06 and at 9:08 she comes up with it out of her hand and he was like ‘no way,’” Steffanie said.

Their wedding one-year anniversary is in October, and AJ told FOX 5 he was “in awe” that the dive volunteers were able to help the couple recover their symbol of love just in the nick of time.
“I was like, there is no way. I was speechless. I just kept saying thank you,” he said.
As for Wige, he said the chances of Beate finding the ring, in minutes, no less, was “amazing. A miracle. One in a million.”
