Law enforcement sources told amNewYork that while the man was relieving himself behind some bushes, two suspects on mopeds approached the car and demanded money from Linarez.

The man further claimed that he was slashed in the arm by one of the muggers when he returned to the car. The suspects then fled, he claimed, per the outlet.

Police said in the statement that Linarez was “stabbed multiple times about the body and a 44-year-old male was stabbed in the right forearm.”
