MGK thinks there may be something going on with his daughter getting her license.

The Lost Americana artist, 35, appears on a new episode of the Jennifer Hudson Show, where he opens up about life as a dad to two girls. MGK, real name is Colson Baker, tells host Jennifer Hudson that he’s starting to think there’s “something fishy going on” with his daughter, Casie, 16, getting her license.

“Now I’m starting to get a feeling that something fishy is going on because she keeps applying, and even the other week, I was like, ‘Let’s go for a drive.’ She’s like ‘Oh, I don’t still don’t have the license,’ and she was supposed to get a Sept. 9,” he explains. “I don’t know. It seems like a bunch of cap, but I also I have no license, so who am I?”

Despite not having her license, the rapper and actor reveals his daughter, whom he shares with ex Emma Cannon, is enjoying the brand new ride he gifted her for her 16th birthday.

“Every day she just sits in the driveway in her car and listens to music,” he shares.

In addition to his daughter Casie, MGK is also a father to daughter Saga, 5 months, with actress Megan Fox. The Beyond the Lights actor and the Transformers alum, 39, welcomed their daughter in March.

While answering questions in Today’s 8 Before 8, MGK shared who named his daughters. The artist said that he didn’t name his older daughter, but picked the name for his youngest.

“Well, I lost the first one and won the second one,” he said. “When you are 18 years old and you go to her mother and you go ‘What if we named our kid, Kid?’ It’s like, I get why she’s like ‘Hey man, shut up.'”

Back in June, the singer stepped out at the 2025 Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards with his daughter Casie for what marked a rare orange carpet appearance for the duo. Ahead of the show and MGK’s performance, Casie and MGK spoke with PEOPLE about their relationship.

“[He] definitely gives a lot of advice. He’s more like a hype man, though,” Casie told PEOPLE of her dad ahead of his performance, before adding that he encourages her to be “myself.”

“Yeah, I’m a cheerleader,” MGK said.
