Mayor Adams goes on bizarre, anti-DSA rant on campaign trail

Mayor Eric Adams went on a bizarre, seemingly stream-of-consciousness rant after railing about his far-left foe and his Democratic Socialists of America pals — proudly declaring he won’t “succumb” to allowing little girls and boys to share the same bathroom.

Hizzoner started off his fiery diatribe on Wednesday afternoon, taking aim at Democratic frontrunner Zohran Mamdani and many of his socialist supporters while on the campaign trail, calling them “disrespectful” transplants and gentrifiers.

“There’s a significant number of them, and too many that come with this very negative, nasty, energy, and disrespectful attitude,” Adams seethed outside a mosque on Frederick Douglass Boulevard.

“Even up here in Harlem … those who have just arrived here yesterday, believe they can just totally disregard their community, and no one wants to talk about this.”

“Folks have been in these communities long before Starbucks. Long before the fancy cafes, long before all of the bike lanes, long before all of that,” he continued.

But following his repeated jabs at Mamdani, criticizing him for wanting to cut free thousands from Rikers Island and to push for legalized sex work — the poor-polling sitting mayor pivoted into attacking non-gendered bathrooms for kids.

“This city is not an experiment,” Adams said before adding, unprompted, “Everyone is just tiptoeing around this … I’m not going to do that. And I’m not for boys going into the same bathroom with little girls.”

Adams also criticized supporters of Zohran Mamdani saying, “There’s a significant number of them, and too many that come with this very negative, nasty, energy, and disrespectful attitude.” Robert Miller

“I don’t support that. And I’m not going to succumb to it.”

Nothing could be found about the DSA pushing non-gender bathrooms for little ones, aside from the national chapter of the group saying, LGBTQIA+ students should have “full access to facilities reflecting their gender.”

The language is nearly identical to what appears on the New York City schools’ website, which is overseen by the mayor, that reads, “Students must be provided access to facilities consistent with their gender identity asserted at school.”

One reference did turn up when The Post searched for the DSA and non-gender bathrooms under Google AI’s results.

That, however, was connected to a series of posts from the Denver School of Arts, also referred to as DSA, celebrating the “new multi-stall, gender-neutral restroom.”

When asked, Adams’ campaign doubled down, saying, “Need to explain to New Yorkers in a plain way that they don’t value families and policies to keep families safe.”
