Madelaine Petsch sets record straight on ‘Riverdale’ cast hookups

Madelaine Petsch emphatically denied hooking up with her “Riverdale” co-stars after KJ Apa revealed he lost his virginity while on the scripted show.

“May I set the record straight about ‘Riverdale,’ actually?” the actress, 31, said on the “Call Her Daddy” podcast Wednesday.

“Recently, an article came out saying that we all f–ked each other on the show. I did not touch a single person on that show with a 10-foot pole.”

She further clarified, “May I repeat that one more time? I did not f–k a single person on ‘Riverdale.’ I never touched them. That’s what happened. Thank you for coming to my TED talk.”

Petsch said when she read Apa’s interview with Entertainment Weekly, she thought to herself, “‘Hey, no, I did not f–k any of you.’”

“I don’t claim that s–t at all. I don’t mix business and pleasure like that. I’ve never hooked up with a co-star,” she added.

Petsch shared that her co-star Cole Sprouse — who was in a relationship with castmate Lili Reinhart for several years during the series — advised her to cross professional lines with other actors on the show.

The “Sightless” star said she responded during that candid discussion, “‘Okay, got it. I won’t,’” and added that Sprouse’s tip was “the best advice [she’s] ever been given.”

In August, Apa told Entertainment Weekly that his “Riverdale” co-stars — which aside from Petsch also included Camila Mendes, Casey Cott and Charles Melton — fooled around with each other.

“There’s a lot of drama that comes on shows like that. Not to say in like a gossipy kind of way, but it’s just part of the environment, I guess — part of the deal,” he told the outlet at the time.

“You hook up with them, people hook up with each other.”

Apa, 28, told the publication that, prior to starring on the CW series, he waited to get intimate with someone because he considered himself “a proud Christian boy.”

However, when he decided to have sex with an unnamed actor on the show, he said things started “happening” and it all got “a little complicated.”

“Then you’re on set, and now you’re fighting with them,” he added without naming his hookup partner.

“Riverdale” aired on the CW from 2017 to 2023 for seven seasons.
