Francisco Lindor‘s wife, Katia Reguero, always supports him on the field, but he recently got the chance to return the favor.
On Sept. 16, Reguero performed the National Anthem on the violin when the New York Mets played against the San Diego Padres, and Lindor grew emotional as he watched his wife’s performance with their children.
The Mets shortstop married Reguero in December 2021 after welcoming daughter Kalina a year prior. In June 2023, their second daughter, Amapola, was born, and their third child, a son named Koa, arrived in March 2025.
Though they’ve already experienced several major life milestones together, Lindor admitted to Haute Living in March 2023 that he’s still “learning” about Reguero and even took a test to better understand his “love language.”
“I ask questions. I try to understand, and my wife has taught me to listen to her,” he told the outlet. “With Katia, I have learned to try to communicate a little better.”
So, who is Francisco Lindor’s wife? Here’s everything to know about Katia Reguero and her relationship with the MLB player.

A photo Reguero posted caught Lindor’s eye on Instagram, and the rest is history, he explained to the New York Post in April 2022.
“I messaged her on Instagram,” he recalled. “Her picture popped up and I was like, ‘This girl is beautiful!’ ”
“We talked for three months and then I met her in Arizona ’cause I was out there for spring training,” the professional athlete added. “We just hung out … [and] at first, I was a little bit like, ‘Ahh, I don’t want to really commit,’ but I knew that she was the one.”

On Nov. 4, 2020, the couple welcomed their daughter, Kalina Zoé. She is often seen supporting her dad at his games and is also a big fan of Buck Showalter, the Mets manager.
After his team defeated the San Diego Padres in Game 2 of the National League Wild Card series in October 2022, Lindor sat down for a press conference with his daughter. However, she wasn’t as interested in hearing her dad’s responses as she was in locating Showalter.
“Papa, Buck!” she said to Lindor, pointing off-camera. “Yeah, Buck left,” he told the then-toddler, telling reporters, “She loves Buck.”
Lindor and Reguero’s second daughter, Amapola Chloé, was born in June 2023. A few days later, Reguero shared a video montage on Instagram of her home birth experience and photos of Kalina with her new baby sister.
“My 2nd home birth. I prayed for this birth team + the timing of Amapola’s birth, and God answered my prayers,” she wrote in the caption. “Couldn’t have done it without the best support system. Special thanks to my midwives & to my hubby @lindor12bc who stayed by my side every second of my labor. I am blessed!”
Reguero announced that she and Lindor were expecting their third child on Instagram in December 2024,
“All eyes on you, little one. Party of 5 coming soon,” they wrote alongside a series of photos featuring Reguero’s growing baby bump.
The couple shared another joint Instagram post to announce their baby’s arrival in March 2025, complete with a photo of their baby boy asleep while swaddled in a blue blanket.
They shared his name in their Instagram caption, writing, “Koa Amani 🌳.”

Lindor and Reguero wed on Dec. 16, 2021, at Vizcaya Museum and Gardens in Miami, Fla.
She had her heart set on the tropical location, which was entirely booked during the Mets’ off-season from November until February, “except for the one day in December,” the bride told Martha Stewart Weddings, “so that was essentially chosen for us.”
The couple exchanged personal vows during their first look and had their daughter walk down the aisle with Lindor. The newlyweds then enjoyed their first dance to Andrea Bocelli‘s version of “Can’t Help Falling in Love,” which Reguero had a special connection to.
She explained to the outlet, “I grew up listening to Andrea Bocelli and always loved this song. I shared it with Francisco some time after we started dating, and it was the first song that came to mind when it came time to choose something for our first dance.”

Reguero launched her podcast, The Un-a-Parent, in August 2022, which, per its Instagram, shares “the unapparent truths of parenting.” Guests have included her husband, former Miss Universe Puerto Rico Mariana Vicente, mental health professionals and more, with interviews conducted in English and Spanish.
“I’m doing this podcast as much for myself as for others,” she shared in her first episode. “I needed a creative, intellectual, stimulating outlet, and it stemmed from a desire to start conversations that I felt I might have needed back when I was pregnant and becoming a parent, and the first few months that were just so overwhelming.”
She added, “And it didn’t seem like there was enough authentic conversation surrounding what parenthood is actually like.”
They prioritize communication in their relationship

Learning the right ways to give and receive love from each other has been integral to the couple’s relationship, says Lindor. In an interview with Haute Living, the baseball star opened up about communicating with his wife and what they’ve learned from each other over the years.
“Just sitting on the couch with my wife is quality time,” Lindor said.
“We can be right next to each other, watching a dumbass show, and that’s quality time,” he added. “Her quality time looks different, but I have learned to be able to communicate and say, ‘Hey, I need, I need some time, some quiet time, all to myself.’ And she understands.”
He added that the two continue to grow every day in their relationship.
“From what I’ve seen, I’ve learned that we definitely need to put work into growing together, because if we start to grow in different ways, that’s a problem,” Lindor said.

According to ESPN, Reguero is a classically trained musician who minored in music at St. Mary’s University in Texas.
She showed off her talents when she played the National Anthem on violin at a Mets-Padres game during the 2025 baseball season as Lindor and their kids were seen proudly looking on. For the performance, she wore her husband’s Mets jersey.
“Music being such an intricate part of my education and upbringing since I was little, I just can’t imagine my life without it,” she told SportsNet New York in May 2024.
