Todd Chrisley Admits ‘Sex’ Was Top of Mind Upon Seeing Wife Julie After Prison
NEED TO KNOW
- Todd Chrisley admitted “sex” was the first thing on his mind when he knew he’d see his wife, Julie Chrisley, again after their release from prison

- Todd joked that he thought “sex can wait” after he saw Julie’s different look but that only lasted “10 minutes” before he “gave in”
Todd Chrisley has a one-track mind when it comes to his wife, Julie Chrisley.
“Sex,” Todd answered bluntly when asked what was on his mind when he knew he was finally going to see Julie again after their release from prison in the penultimate episode of The Chrisleys: Back to Reality‘s first season, which aired Sept. 16 on Lifetime.
As Julie shook her head, Todd added, “It had been 28 months. I’m not gonna sit here and lie.”
When the producer directed the question at Julie, Todd spoke over her to give his impression of what his wife was thinking at the time, saying, “God, I’m gonna have to have sex with him for four minutes.”
Julie’s actual answer, though, indicated she didn’t know if Todd would appreciate her new look.

“I said he’s gonna kill me when he sees my hair,” she admitted of her return to her natural brunette and gray while behind bars before shifting back to her signature blonde upon her release.
Todd didn’t hesitate to confirm Julie’s suspicions, declaring “that was true because she looked like trailer park Tracy” before he reminded her, “You know I love you.”
Julie placed the blame on her stylist, Tyler Bishop, for telling her to grow her hair out while in prison so that he’d have a clean slate to work with whenever she was released.
“That shows you right there you cannot trust a gay hairdresser,” he joked. “Find you a Pentecostal hairdresser.”
Todd said that Julie looked like she’d “been dipped in s—” when he saw her, and his immediate reaction was “sex can wait.”
After Julie playfully slapped Todd, he admitted, “It waited 10 more minutes. I mean, I gave in.”

Julie previously told PEOPLE that she “kind of always knew that I was going back” to blonde after embracing her natural brunette and gray hair in prison.
“Tyler knew the moment that I was released — whether that was when it happened, thank goodness, or in ’26 when it would’ve happened — he was waiting and ready for me,” Julie shared.
Todd’s comments in the latest episode of The Chrisleys: Back to Reality aren’t the first time he’s addressed Julie’s post-prison hair color. On the July 23 episode of the Chrisley Confessions 2.0 podcast, Todd said he “started thinking about going back” to prison when he first saw Julie’s new look. It took a moment to adjust, he said, but then he decided to “embrace this.”

“I mean, it was a rough moment. It was a rough moment because I’d never seen you dark in my life,” he said at the time. “Julie, 30 years, I’ve never seen you with dark hair.” Todd also commented that Julie had “set the bar low” and “had to go nowhere but up.” He faced criticism for his comments.
Luckily for the reality TV couple, they were both on the same page for Julie’s hair transformation, and just weeks after her release, she was back to her usual blonde.
Julie and Todd were found guilty of conspiracy to commit bank fraud, conspiracy to defraud the United States and tax fraud on June 7, 2022. Julie was also found guilty of wire fraud.
The pair began their prison sentences on Jan. 17, 2023, and were released on May 28, 2025, after President Donald Trump granted them full pardons.
