Rainn Wilson and Ryan Serhant travel back to 2020 in a playful new video, which sees the Office star predicting the real estate mogul’s next five years.
In the short film, which premiered at the SERHANT sales huddle for agents and employees at the brokerage’s Sell It 2025 event on Tuesday, Sept. 16, Serhant visits a fortune teller at the height of the pandemic.
When Wilson emerges in a crimson cloak, Serhant asks, “Are you Rainn Wilson from The Office?” as he applies hand sanitizer. “So, like, you’re a tarot card reader now?”
“So, you’re, like, the least favorite character from Million Dollar Listing now?” Wilson shoots back.
Serhant tells Wilson he wants to know what the next five years hold because he’s starting his own company that day, and Wilson tells him, “We’ll let the cards determine that.”

Wilson then begins his predictions for Serhant, who founded his eponymous brokerage on Sept. 15, 2020, exactly 12 years after he first entered the real estate industry.
“You will expand to 71 states,” Wilson tells a perplexed Serhant, before realizing he was holding his card upside down. “You’ll expand to 12 states.”
When Serhant questions Wilson’s psychic abilities, Wilson asks Serhant for his favorite sport, which he says is football.
“Ah, the NFL,” Wilson says. “The most influential figure in all of football will be … Taylor Swift?”
Swift and Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce didn’t begin dating until 2023, three years after the video is set.
“You will leave Million Dollar Listing New York to star in your own Netflix show,” Wilson then tells Serhant, referring to Owning Manhattan, which landed on the streaming service in June 2024.

Wilson follows that with another pop culture prediction involving And Just Like That, the Sex and the City reboot that premiered in late 2021.
“You’ll be cast in the Sex and the City reboot … which will be immediately canceled as soon as you join the cast,” Wilson says.
Serhant first appeared on the reboot in 2023, returning for its third season earlier this year when his character — a fictionalized version of himself — bought out Seema Patel’s business partner. The show’s director and showrunner, Michael Patrick King, announced on Aug. 1 that the series was concluding after the season 3 finale.
Wilson then turns the topic to business, informing Serhant that he’ll have cleared more than $5 billion by the first six months of 2025.
“And you’re going to want to invest all of that money in Labubus,” he advises, referring to the dolls that have caused a viral craze in 2025.
“What is a ‘Labubus’?” Serhant wants to know, before Wilson declares, “A Labubu is my best friend!”

Serhant says he’s still confused about how he’s going to afford all the expenses of starting his own company during a global pandemic.
“Bitcoin,” Wilson replies in a high pitched voice while holding up his Labubu.
“You’re going to invest all your money in Labubus and Bitcoin and you’re going to do so well five years from now you’re going to have enough money to be able to hire me, Rainn Wilson, the most handsome, talented, wonderful actor,” he adds.
Serhant then asks if there’s a way to tell him what’s in the cards for 2026.
“Nope, you only paid me to go up through 2025,” Wilson tells him.
Serhant created the video to “capture the culture that makes SERHANT unlike any other brokerage or company,” according to a press release shared with PEOPLE. Sell It 2025, where it premiered, is a three-day event running Sept. 15–17 at Loews Sapphire Falls Resort at Universal Orlando, where nearly 1,000 attendees were expected.
“At SERHANT, we believe business doesn’t have to be boring,” Serhant said in a statement. “Energy builds culture, and culture builds companies. Revolutionizing real estate is serious work, but we do it in a way that’s inclusive, engaging, and genuinely fun.”
The Million Dollar Listing alum added that as a leader, he’s used lessons learned from his television career.
“When you keep it fresh, make it unexpected, and infuse humor into the process, people stay invested — not just in the work, but in the mission behind it,” he said.
