Sydney Sweeney Shares New Swimsuit Photos from Her ‘Trip to Mars’

Sydney Sweeney‘s backdrop for her latest swimsuit photos is out of this world.

The 28-year-old Euphoria actress shared she took a “little trip to Mars” while sharing a new batch of photos on her Instagram account on Sunday, Sept. 14.

In the cover image of the carousel, Sweeney posed solo on a rock formation set in the middle of a body of water while wearing a cleavage-baring one-piece black swimsuit with a zipper detail at her bust and black shades. Her background showed off rocks and hills that mimicked the landscape of the “Red Planet.”

Footage from her vacation also showed Sweeney on a boat with a friend, jumping into water from a high cliff, and writing “Syd” in mud on a rock. For the latter photo, her back was mostly to the camera, showing off a cheeky white one-piece swimsuit. 

The same outfit appeared again as she stood inside a clay-red colored rock formation, with her back again to the camera. 

Another photo from the roundup saw the Voyeurs actress crouched down while wearing a sheer beige top. Sweeney accessorized with a tan straw cowgirl hat that covered one eye as she shot the camera a sultry glance. 

She later ditched the cover-up to reveal a sparkly, golden bikini.

One of the final shots in her post was a belated birthday photo showing the White Lotus actress wearing a festive “Happy Birthday” headband as the Immaculate actress, who turned 28 on Sept. 12, smiled and waved to the camera while wearing an oversized T-shirt. 

Her birthday treat — a pizookie — sat on a table in front of her.  

Sweeney stepped out on the red carpet at the 2025 Emmys in a classic bombshell red gown. The low-cut, strapless custom Oscar de la Renta dress paired well with 175 carats of Lorraine Schwartz jewelry that the Anyone But You star wore. 

Her jewels consisted of a 120-carat diamond necklace with a 40-carat marquise drop, 30-carat pear-shaped diamond drop earrings and 25 carats of diamond rings.

Earlier this month, Sweeney arrived at the Toronto International Film Festival for the Sept. 5 premiere of her new movie, Christy.

The film is a biopic about boxer Christy Martin. 

For the special occasion, Sweeney wore a light pink Erdem gown that cinched at the waist and gathered at Sweeney’s hip with a red detail before fanning out into a small train.

She recently faced controversy for her American Eagle “Great Jeans” campaign where critics of the ad claimed that using the word “jeans” as a play on “genes” was racially charged and hinted at genetic superiority.

Just before her TIFF premiere, Sweeney told Vanity Fair that she would not address any questions related to her American Eagle campaign while in Toronto.

“I am there to support my movie and the people involved in making it, and I’m not there to talk about jeans,” she said in the interview published Sept. 4. “The movie’s about Christy, and that’s what I’ll be there to talk about.”
