Sofía Vergara forced to skip Emmys 2025 after landing in emergency room

Sofía Vergara was a no show at Sunday’s Emmys 2025 for the “craziest” reason.

The actress explained to her Instagram followers over the weekend why she “had to cancel … right before getting in the car.”

“Didn’t make it to the Emmys but made it to the ER 🤣😩,” the “Modern Family” alum, 53, captioned her slideshow. “Craziest eye allergie [sic].”

Vergara, who apologized to her fans, shared an up-close look at her swollen eye — and her awards show glam — to kick off the carousel.

The “America’s Got Talent” judge swapped her red carpet ensemble for a hoodie and jeans while resting on a hospital bed and getting an eye wash in subsequent videos.

Terry Crews urged Vergara to “get well soon” in the comments section, while Elizabeth Chambers sent “all the healing vibes.”

Heidi Klum, for her part, wrote, “What the f…”

Vergara is a five-time Emmy nominee, most recently being nominated last year for her work on “Griselda.”

At the time, Vergara stunned in a strapless red gown designed by Dolce & Gabbana.

The Golden Globe nominee, notably, was scheduled to present at this year’s ceremony, which was hosted by comedian Nate Bargatze.

She enjoyed a glam night out the evening before, attending Terence Crawford and Carnelo Alvarez’s fight at Las Vegas’ Allegiant Stadium.

“Gracias @netflix!!❤️” Vergara gushed in her celebratory Instagram post Saturday. “what a night!!”

She watched the boxing match in a black dress with a lace bustier, posing for pics with Marc Anthony and more pals.

Vergara wasn’t the only headline-making absence from the Emmys the following day.

Eric Dane was scheduled to take the stage as part of a “Grey’s Anatomy” tribute — but the actor, who shared his ASL diagnosis earlier this year, skipped the event.
