Prince Harry gives update on dad King Charles following first reunion in more than a year

Prince Harry says his dad King Charles III is doing “great” after their momentous reunion.

The Duke of Sussex stoically gave the update before thanking reporters during a reception for his Invictus Games on Wednesday, per the Daily Mail.

He appeared in good spirits as he went on to rub shoulders with the games’ corporate sponsors and government officials, the outlet added.

The royal reportedly arrived at the reception immediately after leaving his meetup with the king.

A rep for the Duke of Sussex did not immediately respond to Page Six’s request for comment.

Prince Harry was spotted arriving at King Charles’ London home, Clarence House, for a “private tea” earlier on Wednesday, marking their first meeting in over a year amid their long-reported feud.

The father-son duo chatted for a little under an hour — a promising sign since it went much longer than their previous 30-min chat in February 2024 after the sovereign announced his cancer diagnosis.

Harry, 40, arrived to the meeting in a black SUV, photos obtained by Page Six revealed.

Prince Harry has been embroiled in a contentious family feud with his father, 76 and brother, Prince William, 43, since he and his wife, Meghan Markle, resigned from their royal duties in 2020.

Harry and the Duchess of Sussex went on divulge royal family secrets in some of their bombshell interviews about the royal family after moving to Montecito, Calif.

Harry even went so far as to share intimate details of his feud with his dad and his older brother in his 2023 memoir “Spare.”

The rift seemed to be further fueled by the prince’s legal battle to have his publicly funded security reinstated while in the UK.

Prince Harry previously argued that he was treated unfairly when he was stripped of his security detail after his resignation. He also claimed that his father had the power to resolve the situation for him.

Though, Harry has recently made attempts to mend his relationship with the royals.

Last month, reports surfaced that he would get together with his dad during his visit to London for the annual WellChild Awards on Sept. 8, which fell on the anniversary of Queen Elizabeth II’s death.

“Nobody is pretending the wider family issues have been resolved, but this is about beginning with Charles and Harry,” a source told The Mirror at the time.

“For the first time in a long time, there’s a genuine sense that reconciliation is within reach.”
