The Braxtons have returned!
After the famous family made their return to reality TV in 2024, they are back for another season of WeTv’s The Braxtons.
In PEOPLE’s exclusive debut of the second season trailer, Toni, Towanda, Trina, Tamar, and their mother, Dr. Evelyn Braxton, are seen navigating their dynamics as Towanda gears up for her wedding to Sean Hall. The group also mourns the death of friend Angie Stone.
“With weddings, career wins, deep rifts, and real healing, The Braxtons return to prove no one does drama, heart, and legacy like they do… bigger, bolder and realer than ever,” a synopsis for the new season reads. “In Season 2, Toni, Towanda, Trina, Tamar, and Ms. Evelyn reunite with hopes of healing after tragedy, but life throws more curveballs than ever before. While Towanda plans the wedding of her dreams, the family is rocked by medical emergencies, explosive emotional confrontations, and the fallout from a public scandal that threatens to divide them for good.”

The trailer kicks off with Towanda, 51, excitedly announcing that she’s getting married. Her mother, Evelyn, 77, then says in a confessional, “I’ve seen people in love, but this is in love!”
As the trailer continues, Toni, 57, is seen grappling with the news of Stone’s death. The late singer was killed in a car crash involving an 18-wheeler on Saturday, March 1. She was 63.
“I’m just trippin’ about Angie Stone,” she says, as footage of her at a concert is later shown. Toni can be seen telling the audience, “Sorry guys, getting a little emotional.”
As Towanda eagerly awaits her wedding, she celebrates with various festivities, including a bridal shower. However, it’s revealed that the whole Braxton family won’t be in attendance when Toni calls her and reveals she’s not even in the same state so she won’t be attending.

The drama continues when Towanda is clearly disappointed in the lack of excitement from others.
“Tensions are at an all-time high,” Towanda says, before a clip cuts to her telling Trina, 50, that she has to create boundaries. “It’s not a line in the sand, it’s a line in the concrete.”

Tensions continue to rise when the sister’s niece, Ashlee Braxton, daughter of Michael Braxton Jr., appears on Tamar’s podcast to talk about the family rift.
“I have this family. I have this name. I have this legacy. Am I going to destroy it by what I’m saying?” Ashlee, 32, says during the live podcast appearance.

Later, the four sisters gather together for dinner. However, it’s anything but peaceful when Tamar, 48, demands, “You better take that back,” and Trina yells, “I’m not taking nothing back!”
In another moment, Tamar hits a breaking point. “Come on y’all, let’s not do this,” she yells, before abruptly slapping a glass of water that hits Towanda and Trina.

The argument seemingly continues, as Toni starts shouting at Tamar and the two sisters appear to get physical with Trina, who eventually also gets involved. The trailer transitions to black and white footage, with a crew member getting involved to break up the escalating fight.
As the trailer comes to a close, a crew member is heard saying, “We got an issue.” Another producer can be heard saying, “I think she’s in one of the bedrooms.”
Then a clip of a producer running to someone’s bedroom plays before it cuts to an image of an emergency room.
