Jasmine Tookes Opens Up About Baby Boy on the Way (Exclusive)

Jasmine Tookes is getting ready to welcome her little one.

The soon-to-be mom of two, 34, recently sat down with PEOPLE to discuss her new limited-edition scent, which blends notes of bergamot, jasmine and cashmere, for the Unstopables Unlimited Collection.

During the conversation, Tookes opened up about how she’s using her unique fragrance to prepare to welcome her new bundle of joy, what she’s looking forward to doing with her son, and how her second pregnancy has been treating her. The expectant mother said that her pregnancy has been smooth despite a few challenging moments.

“It’s going great. It’s really exciting,” she says. “I think this second time around is a little bit harder just because I do have a toddler. She’s 2 ¹/₂ , [and] is just also needing a ton of attention and love, so trying to balance both as well as a brand and doing beautiful collaborations like this, it has its moments.”

“But, I’ve been trying to relax when I can, and I’m just so excited,” she adds. “I have a couple more months to go, and the new baby boy will be here soon.”

The supermodel, who shares her daughter Mia, 2, with husband Juan David Borrero, tells PEOPLE that she feels this pregnancy was more difficult in the beginning.

“I felt the boy was much harder in the first trimester. And again, I don’t know if that’s due to the fact that there is another baby running around or if the boy’s just really taking it out on me,” she says. “But I’ve asked a couple of friends, and they also have boys, and their first trimester was really hard, so I don’t know.”

She adds, “I was definitely more tired, more nauseous just the first three months, but I made it through, and now, I’m feeling good.”

Tookes shares that she feels more relaxed during her second pregnancy. The model, who notes she’s a really big planner, reveals that she has been able to find a “little bit more comfort” the second time around.

“It’s been honestly so much easier in terms of thinking about everything because I know what to expect, where with my first, it was all so new to me,” she explains. “There’s just so many things that are unknown. So I think this time, I feel a little bit more comfort in knowing what’s coming and what to expect.”

“So with planning, it’s honestly been really, really chill,” she continues, adding that she only recently started preparing the nursery. “So I think just mentally, I’ve been way more laid-back and way more chill.”

As she looks forward to this new chapter in her life, the doting mom says she’s excited to spend as much quality time with her family as possible.

“It’s going to be such a special moment. My husband’s family is going to come into town for two to three months, so it’ll be nice to have that support along with my mom and my family,” she shares. “It’ll be a full house over here at the Tookes-Borrero household, which I’m just so excited about.”

“I’m such a hard worker, and I go, go, go. I don’t stop, and I think for me, it’s nice to have a moment to force myself to stop and slow down a little bit, even if it’s for two to three months,” she adds. “So I’m really looking forward to it. I think it’ll be really special, and our laundry will be smelling delicious as well.”
