Dolphins’ alarming Week 1 puts fantasy football managers on notice

There are all kinds of mysteries in our world. What is the meaning of Stonehenge? What was the fate of the Lost Colony of Roanoke? Whatever happened to Dan “D.B.” Cooper?

And which among the parade of Week 1 surprises every year in the NFL will become a trend, and which are anomalies?

Last year, big opening games by Anthony Richardson, Jayden Reed, Cooper Kupp and Allen Lazard were fool’s gold. But strong outings by Jayden Daniels and Chris Godwin were not.

Duds by Joe Burrow, Puka Nacua, Trey McBride, George Kittle and Courtland Sutton were mirages. Bad games by Kirk Cousins, Sam Laporta and DK Metcalf were harbingers of future misery.
