Vera Wang, 76, Defies Aging in New Photo — and Thanks ‘Great Lighting’

Vera Wang is looking youthful as ever.

On Sunday, Sept. 7, the 76-year-old fashion designer shared an up-close photo on Instagram, showing off her glowing skin. In the shot, Wang wears a cream-colored top as she tilts her head slightly to one side and rests her chin in her hand.

The designer’s long, dark hair is parted to the side and styled sleek and straight.

“APRES TENNIS…🎾. CIPRIANI 👏🙏🤍🍝🍸,” Wang captioned the post, which was closely followed by multiple posts featuring photos of her at the US Open in New York City.

In the comment section, she added, “HEY GUYS. GREAT LIGHTING = CIPRIANI !!!!!”

Fans were quick to call out Wang’s radiant appearance.

“You are beautiful💕,” one user wrote.

Another shared, “You look so pretty! 🙂❤️✌️🙋‍♀️.”

A third said, “What a gift to look like this in this age😍👏.”

While recently speaking to PEOPLE about the latest in her fragrance line, Wang opened up about celebrating life and aging.

The designer, who turned 76 on June 27, is known for her lavish birthday bashes.

“After my 75th last year, I said, ‘Maybe, you don’t have to celebrate after 75.'” she shared.

“A lot of my friends don’t want to. They say, ‘I’m too old.’ I said, ‘It’s not about being old. It’s about being here and living, and we should celebrate that,'” Wang continued, adding: “But you have to celebrate every year that you’re alive. That’s just how I feel.”

For her 76th birthday celebration, Wang hosted an evening at the restaurant Le Relais Plaza in Paris. She posted photos from the affair to Instagram alongside other snapshots of her and loved ones gathered around a decorated tablescape. Wang also shared a sweet photo of her blowing out the “76” candle topping her chic butter yellow cake.

The designer rang in her big day in a black scoop-neck minidress, knee-high boots and a gold bedazzled temporary tattoo on her arm to commemorate her age.

Wang doesn’t appear to be slowing down anytime soon. Despite her selling her brand to WHP Global last December, she is still the founder and chief creative officer of the company and is very much involved in her partnerships, including those with Jared Jewelers and Zales.

As she told PEOPLE in 2024: “I think maybe a little bit like Warren Buffett [age 93] or Queen Elizabeth II [who ruled the British monarchy for seven decades until she died at age 96], I’m just going to keep prodding on because I feel as though I’m able to do my best work more and more. I’m really trying to respect that in me, that voice in me, that I feel very happy to be creating. That’s what it’s all about, really.”
