Aaron Glenn, Armand Membou face massive Week 1 Jets challenge

As they embark on yet another season of hope, what’s old is new for the Jets, and what’s new is old.

In their season opener against the Steelers on Sunday at MetLife Stadium, the Jets will face their old (literally) quarterback in 41-year-old Aaron Rodgers with their new quarterback in Justin Fields, who’s Pittsburgh’s old signal-caller from last season.

The Jets will be embarking on this latest new start with a new head coach in Aaron Glenn, their old star cornerback from 1994-2001. Glenn is making his head coaching debut against the Steelers’ Mike Tomlin, the longest-tenured head coach in the NFL, in his 19th season with Pittsburgh.

Glenn this week got his first true Jetsian devastating news smack on the face when his best and longest-tenured offensive lineman, right guard Alijah Vera-Tucker, tore his left biceps in Tuesday’s practice and is out for the season.
