I Walked 20,000 Steps in the Quince Ballet Flats

When I lived in New York, I was so used to walking that I could wear almost any shoe style without feeling much pain. Since I no longer have that tolerance, I now require a supportive style whenever I visit. While ballet flats aren’t typically my pick for comfortable shoes, I had a good feeling that my newest pair from Quince might be an exception. 

I had only worn the shoe once before, but the flexible woven exterior and cushioned insole provided promising comfort. On my most recent trip to NYC, I decided to put them to the ultimate test — walking more than 20,000 steps on the first day. I’m pleased to report that I was completely pain-free when I returned to my hotel that night.

Quince Italian Leather Handwoven Square-Toe Ballet Flat

The Quince Handwoven Square-Toe Ballet Flats are made from a durable Italian leather and come in both black and light brown. The unique woven design not only adds textured style to the shoes, but it also allows them to move more comfortably with my feet. Thanks to this detail, I have worn them multiple times without getting blisters on my feet or ankles, which typically happens with ballet flats. 

In addition to being a comfortable and functional pair of shoes, I was also immediately impressed with the quality. The leather is buttery-soft, and the soles are still holding up after numerous wears. The flats have a 4-millimeter ortholite leather insole, providing just enough cushion and arch support to ensure all-day comfort. 

These have become a staple in my wardrobe for both casual and fancy occasions. I recently wore them to a tennis tournament, touring a museum, and casually walking around and running errands. They are breathable for warmer days, but still substantial I to wear with my fall looks too.
